Latest interview of Wang Zhizhi, where he expressed great enthuiasm and aspiration to be reinstated into the national team to team up with Yao Ming to serve his country again in the World Championship.

Photos of Wang Zhizhi in front of the National Training Bureau in Beijing.

Ever since he returned to China on April 10, he kept his daily strength and conditioning training and shootout practice under the guidance of his mentor Guang Lubin at the National Training Bureau.

"TITAN: Will Yao Ming's injury impact the national team in a big way ?"

I nominate that for the stupidest question that has ever been asked.

Maybe Wang can't cut it in the NBA, but he's still the most visible Chinese player outside of Yao.

Has he actually been playing recently? He may very well still be the second best Chinese player, and therefore extremely key to the hopes of the Chinese National Team.

Enjoyed the read. Thanks. Is Wang Zhizhi as skinny as he seems to be in the photos? I got the impression that he's a very tall stick, lol! Also, should we call him Wang?

Shouldn't this thread be moved to NBA dish. It looks like there are many Wang Zhizhi fans among Rockets fans, but still Wang Zhizhi is not relevant to the Rox. Therefore, it might be helpful to create a subtopic within NBA dish for fans who want to talk about Chinese players who aspire to become NBA players.

Dude sucks. Get over it. He has no future with the Rockets or the NBA.

No no your translation was fine. Just the thought of Yao playing with Wang is amusing to me for some reason. I was just under the impresion he was nowhere in Yao's league and not very good all in all. Then again since I'm not Chinese, I don't really care about the CNT. I guess the "get Wang" thread a little bit ago had me thinking... about it.

To be fair, Wang Zhi Zhi does not suck as much as you guys think. As a shooter, he would be a upgrade over a lot of guys we have right now, the down side is that he plays very poor D and does not bring what we need in PF spot. He also is not physical enough to get rebounds or block any shots. Basically Wang is a scorer only in NBA.
