    Finally...

CINCINNATI – Astros righthander Roy Oswalt, who has been pitching with a degenerative disc in his back, has been shut down for the season one day after he aggravated the injury he’s dealt with for his last four starts.

Good for him, maybe he can come back next year and not be mediocre for the first 2 months of the season.

Wonder what effect the World Baseball Classic had on him and his off-season prep this year?

We've come to rely so much on Roy and Lance, that when they don't bounce back in the second half (after a slow start), it's such a letdown. Here's hoping both return to their best-in-the-league form next year.

Good. There's no point in playing when you're injured and the team isn't going to the playoffs.
