I know that Ming right now is the most important player in the world games this year (for us), but if anyone has forgotten, Oscar Torres is also playing in the World Games. http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/wbc_venezuela.html One such player is Oscar Torres of the NBA’s Houston Rockets. Torres is the third-leading scorer on Venezuela’s roster, averaging 12.7 points per game. During the Championship of the Americas, Torres connected on 17-of-28 shots from the field. The last time Torres played in Conseco Fieldhouse, he scored a team-high 24 points and collected seven rebounds as his Rockets dropped a 108-106 overtime decision to the Indiana Pacers on December 13. If anyone can find any real stats on the games he has played, we might get a better feel for how well he is doing vs the rest of the world.
Hmm... gooo. I guess. This should probably be in the ROCKETS ROSTER and ACTION forum thing, though. Since he's apart of the team. Or was, at least. I remember him averaging about 10ppg, in the SPL, I think. Maybe if he can get hot now, he'll be able to keep it for the season.
I hope he does well,it will be good for his confidence especially if he shoots well from the 3 point line. I would like to see him back with the Rockets.
He may have had a one year contract. I'm not sure though. I pretty sure he'll be back though. Unless we make a deal for a back up sg. (even then, we could still probably use him.)
i think after yao is signed, steve is extended, and we settle this whole lewis deal, os will be resigned.
17 of 28 form the field, thats impressive. I don't really see us signing a FA SG so l think OT will be on the team again this year. He started off so well for us but it seemed that after the all-star break his shot just vanished. O hope he can regain that consistent shot b/c if he can, I think he could be a real contributor to the team this year.
Will somebody get that quote from the guy who said that about Yao and Bradley? Well, anyway, Shawn Bradley is bad in the NBA, and is bad in the World tournaments. I believe he is averaging 4 ppg.
