I think Oscar deserves to now be called OT.

If he really is that much like Clyde I am all for the guy because Clyde was my favorite player to watch.

OT is very impressive, and I think if any player deserves to be referred to as OT after the Otis Thorpe years, it is this guy.

It seems like it's been forever since we've had a 6'6 player that can actually run the break. OT also hustles like no other, he's pretty strong too.

Last night he managed to take the ball away from a magic player ONE HANDED! What other Rocket player used to palm the ball? Yep, the original OT. Torres is like a stronger version of Clyde Drexler, of course I'm not saying he's Hall of Fame bound or anything, but he's VERY fun to watch and a wonderful breath of fresh air.

He can shoot lights out too!

The dude scored 12 points, grabbed 6 boards, and 2 steals in only 26 minutes of play last night.

Dude... calling Torres OT is a lot like calling Greg Ostertagg "the Big O"....

    :(

It was exactly this type of furvor that landed Kelvin Cato a ludicrous long-term deal. Let's hope Rudy and CD don't go off the deep end again based solely on preseason successes.

I love Oscar Torres game. This guy hustles, has great defense and is very smart. This guy will do what we wanted from Shandon and even more.

Let's settle this. I say Oscar Torres should henceforth be referred to as 2OT.

Where will OT get his minutes from?:(
I love his play and everything, but since Franchise, Mobley, and Norris are playing a lot of minutes.......and we already have a ton of SF's......

Torres has to get at least 10 - 12 minutes on this team. I would like to believe that there is no longer the plan for the guards in the rotation or even Francis playing the 2. I believe the team should play Francis and Moochie exclusively at the 1 and Mobley and Torres exclusively at the 2. No need to play Mobley at the 3, for any time as is suggested by the Sporting News as a possibility. The reasoning is that Rice, Williams, Morris and Langhi should have all the answers at the 3. In other words, whatever the situation calls for you can find it somewhere in that combination.

Maybe, instead of 2OT, we should call Oscar El OT, since he is Venezualian (sp?).

I'm still waiting for the posts about how the national media is clueless and we shouldn't listen to anything they have to say about the Rockets.....I guess that's only when they write negative articles?

I don't really trust anything the national media writes about the Rockets, since I don't believe that they get enough exposure to the Rockets to judge them accurately, except of course for Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley, who are the only two Rockets ont he team I expect to recieve a great deal of national attention.

That said, Oscar Torres does look like a keeper.

Why call him OT or 2OT...I think just "Oscar" is pretty cool. If we have to shorten it how about "Oz"?
