I'm really digging the HBO reality special about the two of them training

I think Floyd is gonna win, but it would be hilarious to see his reaction if Oscar puts him on his @ss

I think Floyd will begin to pick Oscar apart as the rounds progress. Oscar will probably focus a little more on imposing his size and be a little more defensive minded in the first 4-5 rounds until Floyd opens up. I don't think Oscar is at the level in his career to beat someone like Floyd but I hope he atleast catches Floyd with a solid left and rocks him or maybe knocks him down. Floyd has more to win, than Oscar has to lose.
Even if Oscar loses, he will still go down as a Mexican boxing legend. If Floyd loses, his legacy will be questionable. If he loses no one is going to questions Floyd's skill and ability, but his biggest fight so far has been a complete domination and destruction of a weak, slow, and out of sync Diego Corrales. And that really isn't saying much.

That being said, I PREDICT an 11th round TKO by Oscar. I think eventually Floyd just might get careless and reckless enough to get caught with a strong left.

But regardless of who wins, this is a great event for the sport of Boxing. If only we could have more of these fights, instead of once every 10 years.

I was thinking about buying the PPV, but I think I'm going to pass and watch it on HBO the weekend after.

Man how can you miss this fight. Its built up to be the fight of the year, youve got one of the best fighters of last decade against the best fighter of this decade.

De La Hoya is smart but Mayweather has some freaky talent. I think de la hoya has been working on his power and hes been working on defending against speedy guys, sparring with mosley.

One last note...you dont want to talk s*** to De La Hoya, when he gets that kind of motivation, he turns it up to a super high level and hold in all that anger and uses it in the ring (ex: mayorga, vargas).

    The reality series is awesome

Mayweather will easily outbox DLH. People who believe the trash talking (which is being done to sell tickets is all real, lol). Some of it is but the majority is to sell tickets.

For those who thinks DLH uses trash talk to motivate him remember the two guys you mentioned (Mayorga and Vargas were tailor made for him) and were both already ruined by Tito. Vargas unfortunately was rushed too quickly and Mayorga was never anything more then a guy with a huge pouch and a great chin. Once he moved up in weight he got destroyed.

Eh, like I said, I'll save the $55 and watch it a week later on HBO. Besides, while the fight is going on Saturday night, I'll probably be doing the horzontal bop with my girlfriend. When the choice is pay per view vs. sex, I'll choose sex each and every time! :D

I think I'm going to order it on HD and call up some friends

I agree, this is one of the best fight in the past 7-8 years

boxing has been falling down since some good heavyweights stopped boxing

    my favs are

    1. Prince Naseem Hamed, wow, he was pure entertainment, love the guy
    2. Mike Tyson, this dude made me watch boxing
    3. Mohammad Ali, first did not know much about him, during the past 10 years I've seen many of his fights on TV, he was great
    4. Klitchko brothers, watched them since they started to be popular during mid 90s, I used live in germany so they would show up occasionaly on TV
    5. Roy Jones, good fighter
    6. Lennox Lewis

Oscar de la Renta has a better chance at beating Mayweather.

I am really hoping Rockets win the next two. Theres going to be problems in my house if theres a game 7 going on. My guess is of course the game will be over right at about the same time the main even starts. But still, Im not missing a game 7. I love boxing, but I love my rockets even more.

This ought to be a good fight. Sure is getting alot of hype.

The fight I really wish would have happened was Nigel Benn vs. Roy Jones Jr. It was talked about but they could never get things sorted out. Would have been a classic fight of epic proportions.

i dont think so. if mayweather fights smart (which he always does), he should handle oscar pretty easily. oscar cannot match his handspeed or quickness around the ring
