Not to turn this into an Orlando BBS

If this deal goes down . . .. where do you really
    see Orlando next year

    Playoff position?
    Wins?

How will it effect these players stats

    Steve : 22pts 5~8 ast 7 Rebs 3 Tos 2~3 steal
    Cuttino: 18pts 2~4 asst 5~7 rebs 3 Tos 2 steals
    Cato: 8~10pts 8~12 rebs 1 asst 2 TOs .5 steals

The biggest issue is the X-factors:
Howard - how will the high schooler do
Hill - How is the Ankle

Do not know too much about their opponents. They are in a rather ****ty division right? Steve and Cat have had a lot of success against the east in general. They will definately make the playoffs. I think that there are only like 3 real teams in the east tho. Too bad we have to play in a division that rivals the best of the entire east(Yes...I know detroit won it all).

I Could see them Ahead of the Bucks, Heat, Knicks Wizards and Raptors in the playoff race over there in the East!My guess is they'll finish somewhere from 3 to 5.

FYI, If Orlando wins their WEAK division they will be a top 3 seen. With that said, they could easily win that division with a 40-42 record. My gut tells me that only ONE team from that division will make the playoffs and it will be the winner.

Their division is Orlando, Miami, Washington, Charlotte and Atlanta.

So it is a two horse race between Orlando and Miami. Pretty good odds I would say!

Orlando- 38-40 wins, 7-8 seed (I am actually being very generous here)

Francis I think will a better season than his last for sure after the neccessary change of scenery.
    20 ppg, 6 ppg, 6 apg, 1.5 spg + 4 tpg though ;)

    Mobley- 17 ppg, 4 rpg, 3 apg, 1.5 spg + 2.5 tpg

    Cato- 8 ppg, 8 rpg, 1.5 bpg

Dwight Howard I have a feeling will be quite okay, probably will have a Amare/Chis Bosh like rookie season.
    12 ppg, 8 rpg, 1.5 bpg

should be able to make the playoffs... i mean that division is the wizards (better), hawks (better), bobcats (better) and heat (worse). c'mon...

don't see cuttino mobley getting 5-7 rebounds per game though... anywhere. sure it's the east, but it not the chinese basketball association.

Some people actually think Steve and Co. are going to win 50 games next year?!? That's hilarious.
The east sucks, but it's not as bad as you think.

Considering the Rockets in rescent have Tottaly Dominated the east, due to Steve and Cats efforts it's Possible!. i'm sure the Orlando Organisation took that into Consideration.

Do you think the Rockets would have won 50 games in the East when they won 45 games 3 years ago, with Steve and Cuttino being the main pieces. I think they would have easily done it, and the East hasn't gotten that much better, half of their playoff teams were still under five hundred. If Grant Hill plays, and that's a very big if, 50 games is possible.

I will bet the Magic to win less than 50 games next yr. Losers pay into Clutch tip jar. Any takers?

They don't have the same teams they had 3 years ago. The east has improved considerably since then, but that's my opinion. Plus, their bigmen(orlando) are horrible this year, with the exception of Cato(defensively anyways). Howard is going to be a project, he's not going to come out and give them much at the beginning. I think they'll have a shot at making the playoffs, but unless Steve turns in 20/8/8 for the year, they'll probably barely get to 43 wins.
    Hill's done.

I don't think Cato will average 8........even in the East where he will be one of the biggest big men (If the disel doesnt come)

The guys should return to good numbers. Orlando also has Gooden, Garrity, and the two nice draft picks.

They will run and gun (or at least dribble, dribble, dribble and chuck) and Steve will be the feature scoring guard.

Gooden will probably throw a hissy fit sometime in the season.
    D. Howard will get some love from the league and Steve would be smart to help him milk the goodwill.

With all that, they should be able to win 45 + East conference + weak division = 52. Not shabby.

    Francis
    Mobley
    Hill
    Howard
    Cato

If Hill is healthy this team will score alot of points -- with all those scorers this is the perfect team for Cato. I definetly see them making the playoffs (if Hill is healthy).

I'd say they probably win more games than Tracy ever won with the Magic, it's almost a sure thing if Grant Hill plays more than 70 games.

They'll play almost 30 games vs. the west and probably lose most of them, not to mention Indy, NJ, Detroit, and Miami 4 times during the year. Even if they SWEEP everyone else, they'd still struggle to get to the high 40's. No way they'll get to 52.
