The only thing he said about the T-Mac trade was... "Its all just been rumor" "Its been very queit over the last few days" He mostly spoke about the draft... "We are very excited about the draft!" "Nelson and Howard are all over the place!" He spoke about his parenting book available at www.patwilliamsmotivate.com I guess at this point no news is good news. At least he wasnt making excuses for Orlandos lack of "professionalism" in this trade.
He has a parenting book! That's excellent. Finally Francis will have a front office that knows how to deal with him.
In related news, Steve Francis announced a publication date for his forthcoming title How To Be Like Les Alexander
I can see it now.... "Steve, we know the Super Bowl is over in Jacksonville, but you need to be a good little boy and be on the team plane ride for our road trip...are we OK, with that...now....now, Steve stop that pouting. You know we love you but those are the rules.".
He said absolutely nothing about the trade. Like Gummi Clutch stated, he wasted most of the time talking about his 19 kids and the 34 books he's written over the years. Geez, I absolutely abhor the entire Orlando management. I wonder what Les and CD think about them after having to deal with these idiots. *sigh* I hope the Rockets just blow the Magic out of the water next season.
I still think that it's not a done deal by any means. That's what I said before, along with that it wasn't the best deal for the Magic. It definitely was not a done deal, as we came to find out, and other teams have entered the fray. It is closer to being a deal now, yes, but that doesn't change anything from before...
Do you dislike Francis that much, not want the Rox to get Tmac that much or what? You seem on a mission to disavow this trade going down. Its almost like Ford sticking to his guns that Tmac was going to Phoenix.
Glad you're back, mfclark. I was curious if you could give us a more in-depth reason why you seem to be against the Houston/Orlando trade. From your perspective as a Magic fan who's a welcome and valuable addition to this BBS. Thanks.
Where I come from, that's called backtracking in order to cover your own rear end! And you weren't saying it wasn't a done deal, you were acting like there was no chance of him coming here. In fact, you made it sound like Houston Rockets fans were the only ones thinking McGrady would come here.
Yes, but I think you can agree that the deal hiccupped because Francis didn't want to play for you guys initially. You also said the Clippers and Suns offers were much better than that of the Rockets, adding that only Rockets fans would think that the Houston deal compares favorably to any of the others on the table. You also said Orlando - not Tracy McGrady - controls the situation. If that's the case and Orlando takes a deal with Houston, what will it be: a) McGrady controls the situation and is forcing the Magic to take a lesser deal so he can get to Houston. b) Orlando thinks the Rockets offer is the best one out there. Pick your poison.
