Lol - I was just about to comment on this, man you guys are fast! But yeah I was thinking the same thing - that's some sweet payback right there. It would have been even sweeter if Hedo threw it up from like half-court, because that's the BS that Roy pulled on us. Also to make it even sweeter, Portland loses for the first time at home hahahahaha. This was a fun day for the NBA - Blazers got served, Double OT game in Dallas, and of course Rockets win. Okay, back to studying.
One of the best investments I make each year along with Center Ice (hockey fan for over 25 years) and Extra Innings. So much bang for the buck.
Don't forget SacTown blowing out media-whoring LA. If only Utah had lost that game, this pretty much would've been a perfect night.
It's hard to beat a team that goes 14/27 from long range and the Blazers should have pulled it off. Incredible win for the Magic. This is the 3rd season in a row the Magic have started the season strong because Jameer Nelson plays like an all-star. But he'll revert back to form and they will be the walking dead come playoff time.
They were 4-1 without Nelson but they did have an easy schedule other than the Celtics, the one loss.
Just what a shot, this is probably the best player you want to take the last shot. It was something similar to his game winner against Boston season ago. Great shot. And good news for Rockets. Portland lost.
I like what they're doing in Portland, but they're in our way so I'll have to root against them most of the year. Thank you, Magic!
portland is only getting better, i'm sure pritchard will make a trade or two and solidifiy their core, that's a scary thought that they could get better with all that youth they have.
I don't think that is official yet but I do believe Durant is going to be incredible once he adds 10-15 lbs of muscles to his frame. I do think Portland will ultimately regret passing up on Durant. Roy, Durant and Aldridge would have been a better core, in my opinion.
I used to think u were cool, but the center ice thing lost it for me. . I've had nba, nfl, college football, and hoops since birth. I actually had the wnba package for a couple of yrs, but they didn't show a lot of games. The Blazers are going to be a problem. Roy is so mature as a player beyond his yrs. That guy gets it done without explosion, but he's subtle. Man I wish the rox could get outlaw and frye for battier. That would really do the rox some good. Hedo has been money in the 4th qt.In fact he was 3rd in 4th qt scoring last yr. Just think that guy was on the bench in sacramento along with g.wallace. Want to talk about a deep team.
I wouldn't expect anything less from you non-hockey-knowin' Southerners. Seriously though, I grew up in DC and my father used to have season tix to the Washington Capitals going all the way back to the early 80s. I love hockey, at least as much as basketball. Baseball is next followed by football. A friend of mine that I grew up with plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning (Jeff Halpern) and I went to college with Martin St. Louis. Hockey is the least popular major sport in America but if you ever get the chance to go to a pro game (assuming you haven't been to one), go for it. AHL games aren't the same, e.g., the Aeros. You need to go to a few NHL games. Unfortunately, the Stars are the closest option. It's not hard to get hooked if you start watching. In my opinion, it is by far the most exciting sport to watch. From the speed of the game to the hits and fighting, it's just awesome. I am still going through withdrawal since moving to Houston. I need to get back up to D.C. to watch a few Caps games. Back to basketball, I would do Outlaw and Frye for Battier, too, but I guarantee few people around here would agree with that. I would actually want to throw Head or Francis in there so we save some money. I know they ditched Francis. It would just be for his expiring, obviously.
