Should be really cool. They are my 2nd favorite team, so Im really psyched that they are getting rid of all of their headcases. As far as Im concerned right now, the only player they have that I don't like is Ruben Patterson (aka "the nanny raper).

    PG-Stoudamire/Van Exel
    SG-Redd/Van Exel
    SF-Miles/Mason
    PF-Shareef
    C-Ratliff

Their core looks good enough to get them into the playoffs, but not quite good enough to beat out our Rockets.

Man, Portland would get a sweet deal out of it. Getting Redd and Mason would make them a good squad.

Don't forget, in a few years Sebastian Telfair could be a pretty good PG as well. If Portland can pull this trade off they'll look really good for the west!

Am I the only one that thinks both teams would be spinning their wheels and not actually going anywhere by pulling off this deal? Neither team significantly improves here.

I can't believe that the Bucks would just throw Redd away. Hell, if the Bucks want a headcase PF, the Rockets should re-sign Eddie Griffin and trade him for Redd! Randolph is a joke and I would not be surprised if he is not in the league in 5 years because of either legal trouble or just got too fat to be effective (ala Shawn Kemp). Redd is a borderline star in this league and getting better and trading him away for Randolph would just prove how sorry an organization it really is.

I think it improves both teams. I watched a Blazers game on TNT last year, and Doug Collins was harping on how teams were collapsing into the paint forcing the Blazers' shooters to force up jumpshots. Blazers get Redd who is a legit marksman. Then you got the Bucks who have Keith Van Horn who is a guy who likes to sit out and shoot jumpers. Joe Smith is not exactly a killer low post scorer. He shoots jumpers too. Put Zach Randolph on that team, and he becomes the low post scorer drawing in double teams. Keith and Joe then become the outlets to which he can dish to for open jumpers.

I like how the Bucks are willing to always part with their "franchise" 2 guards...

The ONLY reason the opposition collapsed inside on the Blazers was because of Randolph. Take him away and they are the Bucks west.

Shareef ain't a terrible post scorer himself.

    Good trade for the Bucks.

ALWAYS choose height when talent is equal.

Randolph has put up monster numbers in the West. He will do better in the East. Him and TJ Ford will be excellent.

Blazers would be losing on this deal. Capspace won't get them anywhere, and they don't have a franchise player. Randolph could net them a franchise player once all this news cools down.

Randolph and Stoudamire for Jason Kidd?

I think this really improves the Blazers, but in a different way. They are trying to win their fans back because they are sick and tired of the Jailblazers. Frankly, so am I. I can hardly stand how much negative press this team gets considering that my "home team" is pretty much a joke. They are starting to look a lot better now that they have Theo Ratliff (who is a beast) and Shareef. Also, I have followed Redd from college, so I can honestly say that Redd will push himself to be better and better, but I can't say that about Randolph.
