I am needing to send some Valentine's Day material to my girlfriend at her job. She works out of town so I am virtually unable to do it during the week due to my work schedule. I tried ordering flowers and things online several years ago (ProFlowers) but it was delivered by the FedEx man in a freaking box instead of being arranged and setup already. Is there anyway to order these things online and have them delivered without them showing up like they are something you won on eBay?
That's funny.. my gf literally just IM'd me about sending her something for V-day just moments ago. She frequents this site too.. hmm.. wonder where she got that idea.
I've done the 800flowers thing but I couldn't tell you if it looked like cheap packaging...I bought my girl a camera, but that's because I feel obligated since it broke when we went out a month ago... No flowers or candy or a card from me...that's just how I roll...
Keep in mind that if they say they will deliver on V-day, that only means it will be before 5. That bit me in the ass last year when the flowers arrived after she had already left for the day. Best bet is to order for Wednesday and have them waiting at her desk when she gets there Thursday.
I think it was 1-800-flowers. I'm not doing the flowers this year. I've done them the last V-day and 2 B-days, so I'm doing something better this time. I won't say what because of the very small chance she reads this. God help me if she does.
Amex sent me a special offer to a company that uses local florists to deliver arranged bouquets. That's important to me. I used proflowers for her birthday and they came in a fedex box and took two days to bloom.
FTD uses local florists. They are who AMEX sent me to. They deliver them arranged. But you have to make sure you order the ones that are marked as being delivered by a local florsit.
http://www.ftd.com/ Yes. The designer flowers are sent by vendors so they come by FedEx. http://www.ftd.com/roses-ctg/occasion-valentinesday-roses/?noparent_bread=1 All the ones on this page with a little time clock on them are ones I'm pretty sure are sent by the local florist.
Thanks a lot. So if I order today, can I delay shipment of the order until the 14th? If not, how does that work?
Yeah you can. It lets you select the delivery date. Edit: No thanks required! Guys got to help each other out on these fake "holidays."
Not to b*tch, but I just got off the phone with my girl and one of her co-workers (female) got a pre-valentine gift...WTF is that...why is this guy making the rest of us look bad with that candy-ass crap he's pulling...What a puss... End of rant...carry on...
