I think it's a given that both will ride the IR unless someone gets injured. However, I don't see us getting rid of their expiring contracts that quickly. Spoon and Wesley will be gone before Ward or Moochie.
exactly...if we cant find anyone to take their contracts...we cut them and eat the cap hit...we need the room to bring in Spano and Cat.
Right on the money....about cutting one of them. Let's help CD make the choice easy by sending him emails that Ward's gotta go. Moochie's legacy has some value here in Houston.
2K5 Roster shot in the dark: PG: Spanoulis/Head/James SG: Sura/Barry/James SF: McGrady/Padgett/Bowen PF: Swift/Howard/Spoon C: Ming/Mutombo/Baker The PG situation, at least for this season, still seems cloudy.. I'm not comfortable with James starting at PG for us.. but can we afford to start one of our two rookies at the 1?
Yuck, Spanoulis and Sura starting... not sure how much help that is going to be for Tmac and the crew.
I kind of hope Mike James gets traded, but he'd our only offense off the bench right now.. If for some reason David Wesley stayed around I guess he would start alongside Sura?
i like Moochie. I don't really care for Ward, no opinion either way. I hope they bring that guy from Grece so we can have our own white foreign player just like every team in the league.
Wow, having Vassilis Spanoulis, Luther Head, and Mike James running the point....that's a combo! I think Sura, Mooch, and Ward are gone from this team. There is no where to fit them. You think Sura will be a SG under JVG's plan? Padgett is gone and so is Baker. Are you sure Swift is a good player at PF for our team?
James is a natural fit coming off the bench. Given what I've heard about his style of play, Spanoulis makes the most sense as the starter at PG, but there's no way this team starts the season with a rookie at PG. Not with JVG as coach. Over time, I like the idea of a Spanoulis/Head 1-2 punch at PG. We'll have to see if either amount to anything. SG or SG/SF as well as PF (obviously) become the focus of the offseason now.
