Hey I'm bored. What is your opinion on the best razor you've ever used (disposable or electric)? My personal favorites:

    1. Mach 3: Can't beat it. It's like the perfect razor.
    2. Schick Quattro: This sucker is right up there too but the comfort feel is not as great as the Mach 3.
    3. Mach 3 M3 Power: It's good but I was underwhelmed. I thought it would surpass the Mach 3 but it didn't. Not the smoothest of shaves (I thought that vibration thing was supposed to help that?) .

I go back and forth between elecric and regular -- for Electric, I have a Norelco, which I really like. Regular razor is Mach 3, and I use Edge Pro Gel.

I use a single blade razor. It's better for the skin.

Mach 3 ROCKS, been using it since they sent me a free one on my 18th birthday :)

Quattro, damn, i had so many scars on my face when that happened that I thought I would break out even more.

As for shaving cream, I mostly use Gillette Gel for sesitive skin and the new Gillette for Skin Care, the non aresol gel, good stuff there

I agree. The Mach 3 is too much for me and seems too bulky.

Shaving cream and after shave are for suckers.

The last shaving thread (which I think I might have started :D ) someone gave a link to The Total Shaving Solution and said they swear by it. I gave it a try and I will NEVER go back to shaving cream and/or after shave. That stuff tears up your face like a rusty cheese grater.

I bought a $12 bottle of TSS about 6 months ago and I'm about halfway through it. 5 minutes after I shave, my face feels like I haven't even shaved at all. No cuts, no sore spots, no pain whatsoever.

Seriously, guys. You should try it. Click on that link for a free sample and I swear you'll never go back to shaving cream/after shave. I know I never will.

Does it make your face oily? Can you get it in stores?

I've been using the Total Shaving Solution for several years and would never switch back. It doesn't make your face oily at all. You only put like 3-4 drops in your hand and rub it in with water, and you never need to use aftershave lotion. It works best if you do it while you shower (as with all shaving). I don't think they sell it in stores, only online. Its only 2 bucks for shipping to get a sample, so worth a shot. I like using the new Gilette Sensor 3. It seems that its more solid than the Mach 3 and its hinge.

No, not at all. After I shave, I put another 3 or 4 drops on my face. It's like a moisturizer...actually it isn't like one, it is one.

The thing about shaving cream and after shave is that they dry up your skin which (in my case) leaves my face feeling sore all day on shaving days. Even if I don't cut myself, I still feel sore. That's no longer a problem with this stuff because it does the opposite. It moisturizes your skin. Before and after you shave.

Man, I'm starting to sound like a metro-sexual. :D Seriously, give it a try. $12 for a year supply, depending on how often you shave, of course. Either way, you can't beat that.

Oh yeah. Mach 3 all the way.

I use a regular twin-blade thing. Works fine. I don't intend to pay a dollar per blade like you do with an M3. Blades cost a quarter each.

Mach 3, but they are so expensive that I switched back to the Sensor Excel. Aveeno shaving cream works well for me (sensetive skin).

My wife got me this Neutrogena pre shave stuff that preps your skin and it works really well. It makes shaving a lot smoother since it has beads in the lotion that sands your face down.

    Mach 3 is KING!

Quattro is ok, but it is a little rough on the face, not as smooth. I think Mach 3 power is just a gimick..... Wont buy it.
