The St. Louis Cardinals need to trade for 1 or 2 starting pitchers. (I do not feel like wasting 5-10 million on average SP's in Free Agency ;))

Available from the ML roster:
F. Vina 35 2B Good Poor Fair C B C
His ratings aren't great, but he's a solid leadoff hitter and a valuable part of my team. I won't trade him for complete trash

B. Giles 34 LF Average Brilliant Good C C B
Big power hitter...would need a pretty nice SP for him

And prospects are always available...

If I am offered a good enough SP, I will package one of these guys with a prospect or two that could include: RF Lafon, CF Alva, SP Tandy, maybe SP Haren, or any other SP prospect I have in the minors. And basically either Stephenson or Person will be thrown in to any deal, especially if needed for salary purposes.

Now give me some offers! :)

The Reds have SS Juan Uribe available, along with CF Wilkin Ruan. We are in need of SP help, along with improvements at C and 2B, let me know if you're interested.

I have several players available including Craig Wilson, Bryan Rekar, James Baldwin, and Donnie Bridges.

Let me know if you are interested...I'll take about anything except high salaried players for these guys.

Upon Further review of my lineup, I also have SP Shane Reynolds available. I just don't have a lot of room for him to start and he could be a quality 4-5 pitcher for some team. I would like some MR help or an extra OF for him.

Looking to bundle Grieve+Burnett or Mays for a good corner outfielder. Looking to bundle Huff+Henson+Burnett or Mays for a good 3B.

I'm somewhat interested in Qualls, Castor. I'd probably only be able to give up prospects, so let me know what you would need in return.

2B/SS Bubba Crosby will be out of a spot soon with two better prospects coming up at the two positions he plays.

B. Crosby 25 SS Good Average Average D D B
Lefty batter, Contract of 100k
Range at Second Base : E (Fielding Pct. : .960)
Range at Shortstop : B (Fielding Pct. : .972)

I would be interested in packaging him with a young SP of mine for an upgrade possibly, or in trading him for nice young relief pitchers/closers.

If interested talk to me in chat or email me at SteveFrancis0003@yahoo.com

Not sure what you would be willing to give. I would be interested in prospects but you don't really have anyone that I like. Trading Qualls for pitching wouldn't really do anything but put me back where I am now, and your fielding prospects don't really interest me. I will check again after Zac gets the draft picks entered and see if there is someone you picked up in the draft that I like.

I'm officially sick of my team, and have decided to shake things up a bit. One thing I have always liked in baseball is bad ass pitching staffs, and right now I don't have one. So without further adieu, let me say this:

Vladimir Guerrero is on the block for a stud pitcher.

There aren't a lot of restrictions, but I would prefer that he is not too much older than Guerrero if not younger, and I don't want someone making an ungodly amount of money (I understand that they will not be cheap, but no $15 mil a season players, please).

Junior Spivey is available for the right offer.

I am looking for a guy with better defense and similar leadoff abilities as Junior.

Pitching is always welcomed but I might have to include a pitcher of my own to balance out the salaries.

If you are interested in Spivey, let me know.

Hey DHR,

Can you come to chat? I may have a SP for you that is better than Stephenson.

Ok fellas. There is not enough trading. So I'm putting the following up:

Gonzo - Beast
Varitek, Rivera, Hart, Diaz. All studs.
Sasaki - Beast
All of my pitchers except for Mahle, Quintana, Pizarro, Blubaugh, and Fernandez.

I'm looking for young players at 2B, 1B, 3B, RF, and SP. Or 1st round draft picks. If you propose a fair trade to me, I probably won't turn it down.

The D-Backs are really in need for a #5 starter.

A look at my rotation reveals that Neugebauer (although inconsistent for him) and Jimmy Anderson have been solid and Person & Schmidt have been so-so.

I can live with so-so because the alternative has not been pretty.

Curt Schilling and Brian Tollberg have both failed miserably so far and Sean Lowe (who really should be in the bullpen) has had to pitch in the rotation again.

Okay, the pitcher I am looking for should be one with an ERA under 5 and his opponents batting average should be below .300 at a bare minimum. I'm not expecting an ace, but a solid serviceable guy.

I would rather him not be pricey but if he is, I will ask that you take on a Schilling (will probably retire), Baldwin, or Tollberg in return to balance out the salaries.

I am willing to give up either Jess Lewis or Bobbie Gaston, both are A pitchers but have been doing great. Lewis just got a talent increase and is now my #2 prospect just ahead of Gaston.

If the pitcher is good enough (opponents batting average under .250), I may trade both Lewis and Gaston. Let me know if you would be interested in doing this.

Thanks

Brian Tollberg is available for those who need starting pitching help.

He had a solid 2004 season with the Padres, but has struggled with my team this season.

He is actually rated higher than both Jason Schmidt and Chad Qualls who are my #4 and #5 starters.

Would like a pitching prospect in AA or A back in return for him. No veterans and no salaried guys, please.

Let me know if interested.

The deadline is approaching, and I need some better pitching. Basically, I can package one of Rekar and Hermanson along with prospect(s) pitching. Chad Gray and Boykin are the only untouchable prospects...but Haren or M.Brown would be pretty hard to pry from me.

D. Hermanson 32 SP Good Average Average Average B
B. Rekar 33 SP Average Good Good Good C

and here's a few of the prospects that I could offer...which ones I give up and how many depends on the caliber of the SP...

H. Kuo 23 SP Average Average Average Average C
D. Comerford 25 SP Average Good Average Good C
M. Tandy 21 SP Good Average Average Average C
J. Mundo 25 SP Average Good Average Average C
K. Wesolowski 21 SP Average Good Good Good D
J. Dewitt 19 SP Average Good Good Brilliant C
L. Norwood 19 SP Average Average Average Good C

Offer here or through my profile email.

Well, the annual Wakefieldian Panic Attackā„¢ has begun. So with that the following notables are available, and also everyone else in the minor leagues.

Cortez Ferraro 25 ss ABG

Lino Garcia 21 lf GAF

Harlod Takeji 21 rf FGG

Now, what Los Angeles is looking for in return is simple. A stud pitcher and/or stud infielder. So with that, may the great Wakefield Playoff Push of 2005 commence.
