Had some questions, thought maybe some of the other newbies did too.

    1. Salary cap

Lets say on your salary report it tells you you have 30 million to spend on free agents, is that per year salary or totality of contract? Like if I offer Edmonds 25 for 5, doest that mean I take a hit for 5 or 25? I assume 5 but want to make sure.

    2. Talent Dev

Does that only occur during spring training?

    3. Fan loyalty

Does that change during the year, or only during spring training? When it goes up does that give me more revenue to spend on salary?

    Thanks

    1. It is per year so if he signs at 25 for 5 you take a 5 million hit for the year. If you have 30 mil to spend on FA's then you can offer contracts up to that amount. We have generally in the past said I want to offer Edmonds 5 for five. That means you offer 5 million a year for 5 years. Inputting offers in the game are not done by totality of a contract. You input it as what you want to pay for a year and how many years you want to pay that. So with 30 million you could effectively offer 6 guys 5 for 5, or 3 guys 10 for 5 etc.

    2. Talent devs occur anytime.

    3. Your Fan loyalty, market size, will only go up at the completion of a season. When they do you get some sort of benefit. If they go down you lose the benefit. If you have a high fan loyalty you will tend to see a higher attendance even when your team is bad. they game tracks that with your Fan interest on the financials page. A high fan loyalty and high fan interest means huge crowds. A low fan interest and low loyalty means crowds in Expos proportions. One high and the other low gets you somewhere in the middle.
