I promised myself no more guns, but I had to get this new CX4 Storm Carbine in 9mm,...a fun sporting "carbine"/rifle with a 16 inch barrel. This is a poor man's MP5 in semi-auto, since you can slap after market 15, 20, and even 30 round 92fs magazines, and have plenty opportunity for plinking at the range... The carbine costs under $700, and it is easy to "tacticalize" it with lots of additions and accessories such as a fore-end grip, lights/lasers and red-dot sights... Ammo is very cheap compared to other self-defense rounds...Plus velocity is increased to near .357 magnum handgun velocites with the longer barrel... Effective range should be at a minimum of 50 yards to 100 yards... The reason I cite this as a shining example is because of several things... You want to shoot, but don't know what to get...: 1. It's good for home defense/and range or plinking at targets for fun... 2. ammo is alot cheaper than rifle rounds... 3. you can use the 10, and 15 round mags in your 92fs pistol... Now that the hunters are off the range, the people like me who love to shoot are there,...Go out and get some!...Then you can take it home and, fondle it for hours... That's it,...no more!...maybe, maybe no...
I just put a Mossberg 12 gauge in layaway. Can't wait to get that baby out and fire off some rounds! Woo Hoo!!!
A squirrel huntin' we'll go.... A squirrel huntin' we'll go.... Hi Ho The Merry-O.... A squirrel huntin' we'll go. Go get 'em ROXRAN!!!
Upon reading this thread squirrels everywhere experienced another bout of gonads and strife!! if you have no clue what I am referring to go here: http://www.frashii.com/wldo.swf
Wow that looks sweet. I was into firearms for awhile but they're just so darn expensive for something I'd rarely use, and once I have kids it'll be more money for the safe I'd have to buy to hold them in...mo money, mo money...
Hell, Moe, that damned patrol lives in my neighborhood. I'll probably get pelted with acorns when I pull my car up my driveway this evening!
HILARIOUS!!! I remember the situation with Mr. Oily. That's actually what brought me to CluthCity a few years ago!!!
Yea, that guy was a real stick in the mud. The only other person that I have seen here stranger than him was the dude who called himself "The Skirt Man"!
KingCheetah,...I love the pic, thanks alot!!! Britney, squirrels and guns...It doesn't get any better than that! RocketMan Tex,...I really love the pic !!! thanks all... and yea, StupidMoniker,...I should have got that compact HK submachine gun with the 8.8 inch barrel and folding stock, but the ATF Bureau would have just one more reason to come after me,...as if the checkmarks aren't already adding up! btw, Jack: Here is my arsenal.... HANDGUNS----------- 1. Beretta 92fs (parkerized finish) in 9mm para. 2. Kimber TLE/RL 1911 type pistol in .45 acp...btw, use only wilson combat 8 rd. magazines for these fine pistols...It may cost more, but it's worth it (throw the original away). - My favorite pistol 3. Hecklor and Koch (HK) USP in .45acp ...Excellent trigger, the most modern of the 3 pistols, but I'd still stake my life on the old-fashioned style 1911 Kimber... SHOTGUNS------------- 1. Remington 870 Police pump model (I've accessorized it with a 6 shotshell side saddle, and Speedfeed pistol grip buttstock with a "tactical" shortened slide that was included with the stock purchase) in 12 gauge...All one really needs for home defense... * I use to own a hunting shotgun by Mossberg, sold it...wish I never did that,...I would like to add just one more shotgun to the mix, but I made it a point to stop for awhile CARBINES/RIFLES------ 1. Ruger 10/22 in .22 long rifle...this gun has accounted for 1,763 heads of squirrel, "my oldest rifle"... 2. Springfield Armory M1A (synthetic stock, 22 inch parkerized barrel with flash suppressor) in .308 ...A costly "battle rifle" that makes a good Deer rifle as well... 3. Bushmaster M4/AR-15 post-ban type rifle with 16 inch barrel (actually 14.5 inch subtracting the muzzle break) with fixed military style stock...very loud...in .223 4. Bushmaster AR-15 post-ban type rifle with 20 inch "fluted" barrel (this one has trijicon/tritium glow in the dark sights...no muzzle break.)... in .223 5. Beretta CX4 Storm in 9mm
I love mine. All I do is tinker with it, and plink at the range though. Original Walnut stock, 3 para-military folding stocks, 7 aftermarket clips with anywhere from 25 - 50 rounds, Bushnell Scope, some thingy that makes it shoot every time you move your hand forward and backward (twice the unloading speed, for chasing those pesky used shotgun shells across the gunrange), flash hider and M-16 looking handle kit. I used to love changing it's look around. Now, I got kids, and I can't mess with it for awhile. It still in a folding Easton Stock with that trigger mod handle on it, but no trigger mad actually working. I keep some "stinger" (othing like going in like a .22 and coming out like a .38) and "shotshells" (mini-shotgun effect) on hand in case of a home defense issue. Pellet guns for warning shots to the animals in the trash can. I also love my Ruger .357 Security Six, and .22 Mark II Bull Barrels... The p-85 is cool too, as is the Red Hawk .44 Mag, but all those stayed at my dad's house in the safe (where they've remained for nearly 8 years). Doesn't every shooting enthusiast have at least one of these in their collection at some point?
