I've been eating real healthy the last several months but have been destroyed the last 24 hours by my favorite candy: Judson-Atkinson Assorted Sours http://www.typetive.com/candyblog/item/judson_atkinson_sours/ For me, this is the crack cocaine of candies. I used to buy these at Astroworld when I was a kid and try to find them at every amusement park I go to (could not find them at Fiesta, Texas a few weeks ago). I don't find these things very often but a grocery store nearby now sells them in bulk. Damnit. My wife knows I love them so she bought like a pound of them for this big gathering with all her family -- which I think is supposed to be Saturday. Yeah, they didn't quite make it. I'm not sure if I hate more that I ate them all or that there isn't more. Anyone else have that one clear-cut favorite candy?
oooooooooooh I love those sours, well really only the Green Apple flavor. I used to buy those all the time at disneyland as a kid. but to pick only one I would probably have to go with the green apple sours. I absolutely love these: but can only eat so much in one sitting because of the sourness to them they leave my tongue all crazy. oooh man now I have to go to the store and by some apple sours...thanks a lot clutch
I heart nerds as well my introduced me to the nerds rope candy witch is nerds of all flavors stuck onto a long gumi rope. They are so freaking good. I wanna leave work and buy some now
King Henry's Sour Gummy Worms. I enjoy them immensely, as I do all gummy worms in general... but I find King Henry's brand to be the most sensual of the gummied worms. They are usually found in cheap little convenience stores and have been sitting there for a couple days, this gives the worms a more crisp, sort of soft but also in the process of firming whereas other sour worms such as Troli Brite Crawlers tend to be very mushy almost right away. Also after sitting on the shelves for a few days, the malic acid starts to slightly ferment, like a fine wine. I highly recommend King Henry's.
Man, that's tough. But if I HAD to only pick one, it would be... I'm not a fan of the sweet fruity type candies. My wife loves them, but I'm more about chocolate. And if you can mix in some peanut butter, you may as well just take me right to the emergency room and get ready to pump my stomach.
I didn't have a huge sweet tooth growing up, but sadly, I have one now (and I'm SURE I'm type 2 diabetic ). Anyway, that IS a tough question. But I guess the clear cut winner would have to be jolly rancher hard candies. On the sad side, they stopped making my favorite---lemon. On the happy side, I can go to the Buckee's in Pearland (close to Bass Pro) and get a Jolly Rancher flavoted Icee.
Its a neat candy, but it always reminded me of eating a turd. (Not that I have eaten a turd before, but I imagine this is what it would feel like)
