Stone says no Rockets are untouchable but I argue he will keep Amen & Sengun off limits.

    Untouchable:
    Amen
    Sengun

    Would Like to Keep:
    Tari
Adams (@ team friendly 2-3 yr contract)
    Reed
FVV (@ discounted 2-3 yr contract)

Absolutely tradeable assets for Star level player (preferably Giannis):
    Jalen
    Dillon
    Jabari
    Cam
    1st Round Picks

    Not Needed For Next Year:
    Landale
    Tate
    Uncle Jeff

Yet another unnecessary new thread started by someone to make sure his post got read.

I guess it’s that time of year.

    There’s only 1 untouchable - Amen.

Sengun is good but he’s definitely traceable

In fairness, Sengun was soft as tissue paper in that series. Despite a size advantage, he regularly faded away from contact, missed countless bunnies, and shot 45% from the field in the playoffs.
He kept his head in the game, fought for rebounds, passed well and took care of the ball, so he didn't tap out Green-style.

I wonder if he is untouchable though? He is limited by his shooting ability, speed and agility.
He isn't a "must get rid of", but him in a package that brings back a better player seems nice to me

    I think personally

    Sengun
    Amen
    Dillion Brooks
    And Fred Van .

Call me crazy, but they are the identity of this current team.

    Lets be honest...

    Sengun is kinda soft...

    and Amen cant shoot....

obviously id rather keep some guys more than others...

but as far as I'm concerned, everybody is on the table depending on if a superstar is available...

Amen can't shoot well yet (he's improved) but his defense is incredible. Rebounding, passing.

No way the Rockets trade him. Sengun, maaaaaaay be traded, but only for the "available superstar", yeah.

I agree with the general premise. Personally, I would pick one of Bari and Eason to extend, then include the other in package with Green and our pick this year (assuming it doesn’t move up) and go hunting for a major upgrade, ideally a player in his 20s who shoots well. Keep Brooks around.

Amen / Trade / Brooks / Bari or Eason / Sengun

Now, if our pick moves up into the top 4, that’s a different story.

Only one....Amen the rest are available for the right deal, and even Amen could be available.

Sengun isn't locked in because he can't shoot 3s, he does that he moves into the top.

But you can't win in the modern NBA without 3pt shooting.

I think trading Amen or Sengun would be mortgaging our future. In my opinion they are absolutely untouchable. Amen literally impacts the game on so many levels with help defense and his recovery speed that Curry looked like he was in jail.

Minnesota's defense according to the media looked like a paradise compared to the Rockets morphing zone-man defense. Curry was on pace for a 50 piece before he got hurt. Amen deserves a large part of the credit for that.

Bari > Tari because we need floor spacing and Tari has a tendency to make bone headed plays. Everyone else in my opinion is tradeable if the right deal comes along.

Not "untouchable". But if there were a whiff of his being available in a trade, it would be like a drop of blood in the ocean and, BOOM!, 29 great white sharks circling, looking for the kill.
