Anyone have any thoughts on Mozy?

Are there any similar sites that might be better?

Mozy offers 2 GB free and unlimited storage for just $5/month, which seems like a solid deal to me?

are you doing this for backup purposes? if you are on a desktop i think getting another hard drive and running a raid setup will be cheaper in the long run.

i forgot to add that if you have a limited upload rate it might take a while for you to backup lots of data to a server online. just another thing to consider.

I have a 4shared account that is 15 gig free.

    Limitations, though:

    (1) file size must not exceed 250 meg.

    (2) If you don't log in once a month, your account will be deactivated.

    (3) direct image linking is not allowed (it's not a image hosting site)

Yes, for back-up. I've done the external hard drive thing, which works, but I am increasingly tempted by on-line backup as well, either additionally or ultimately as the primary source of backup. i hear you on the upload rate issue.

    2gb storage is free

If you want more then that, you pay $5/month.
