LINK I got this off Ren Hsieh's Chron blog. It's pretty funny and I think you should all read it (and approve). Apparently his ankle wasn't the issue when he was pronounced out for the season.
It's the worst thing in the NBA. NBA should suspend players like Manu or Paul but instead they are helping them.
This thread proves my long held belief that Ginobili wears a specially designed teflon coated uniform that allows him to slide effortlessly across the basketball court. Ain't science grand.
I don't get it when people say Shane, Luis, and Kyle flop. Sure they're on the ground a lot, but are they anything compared to the likes of Manu, CP3, Okur, and Kirilenko?? HELL NO!
Lowry...yes. That dude flops everytime he's near an opponent. I'm a huge homer, but even I will admit that. Shane gets good position, it's not like he just flails himself around like Manu etc. That's true. Scola, same as Shane.
Well the extend of which Lowry flops is not close to the likes of Ginobli or Kirlenko. This is what I would call "acceptable" flopping, where there is enough initated contact to cause a player to fall, but needs to be sold or else there won't be a foul called. Unlike Varejao or Ginobli, they somehow fall when there is not enough contact to even make them flinch a little. It's not even selling a foul, it's faking a foul. Of course, there is still what I believe ito be the worse way of drawing a foul (which obviously originates from Utah). Kirlenko's arm hook is the most disgusting way of cheating. I still remember when he managed to sucessfully draw an offensive foul on McGrady by hooking his arm and falling backwards, which pulls McGrady towards him, making it look like McGrady pushed Kirlenko. Worse thing is, the "refs" called a foul when the game was in the closing moments with a very close score (playoffs game 3 if I remember). God I hate that guy....
i'm pretty sure it looks like lowry flails around a lot is because he's always mixing it up inside plus, he's not that big of a guy either. he takes a lot of contact
How can anyone mention Shane's and Scola's flops/charges in the same sentence as Paul's "i'm dying" cringes and Manu's hair-and-arm's throwing flops in the same sentence is beyond me. I mean, Scola doesn't even get called half the time and just stands up and plays. In the mean time Paul is shooting freebies and still jawing arround while we are watching the replay of him elbowing someone and then throwing himself all over the place..
