I am gonna enjoy when the Rockets sweep the Jazz next year and I WILL BE LAUGHING WHEN THE jAZZ have the worst record in the league. There is justice.

Also Malone failing to win another championship ( maybe he will choke in the playoffs like he always does) . he shoud've quitted just like his partner Flopton

What a nice-refreshing thread. WHAT? BREAKING NEWS: HOUSTON GOT SHAFTED ON THE GRIFFIN TRADE!! I wonder how long before another thread gets started on that.

If you don't appreciate every single thread ever created that hates the Jazz, even for the thousandth time, then I'm not sure if you can call yourself a Rockets fan.

Here here. I will never, ever, EVER get tired of laughing and hating on those dirty playing bastards of Satan. Some people claim that people only hate on winners. This next season will prove to the world that the Jazz are hated for reasons much worse than just winning.

So who would you rank as the Top Five All Time Most Hated Rockets Rivals?

hmmm let's try this one on for size..

    1) Utah Jazz (?? Jazz has never been legal in Utah, has it? ;) )

    2) Seattle Supersonics (A city full of punks, with a team filled with punks, coached by a punk -Karl years anyway)

after that it gets a bit vague

    3) Los Angeles Lakers (Where's the lake? Oh yeah, Minneapolis.. anyway, the only thing less appealing than looking at Shaq is listening to him speak)

    4) Boston Celtics (hurt pain bad 80's bad bad Celtics)

    5) Chicago Bulls (honorary mention, simply for not having Jordan during our two championship years, so we could have put to bed once and for all the FACT that Houston would have beaten them at least one of those two years, more likely BOTH, so there!)

What other teams should be in the top five? I'm sure I missed some good ones, since this was a quickie off the top of my head...

I hate the Jazz. They've always been my most hated team, but now they seem smaller, just a shadow of their former selves. They aren't really even worthy of the largest portion of my hate.

I now save that for the Los Angeles Lakers. They have Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Rick (I need someone to kick my ass and give me a shave) Fox, Phil Jackson is their coach, Their fans are in some other plane of reality, etc. Shaq seems to alternate doing something respectful that I like, and something stupid that I hate. For these reasons, I've found a new most hated team.

It's true that their isn't the long and proud tradition of bitter emnity with the Lakers, but it seems like an opportune time to begin.

Yes, fellas, it is time to redistribute the hate. The Jazz are worthy of your hate no more. They are a joke. They are the new Clippers. You can't hate the Clippers, can you? That would almost be inhumane. You're supposed to hate teams that keep you from your goals. I think only team that fits that best is the SUNS.

    lecture over ;)

Not to sound anti-Rocket, but the Jazz will not have the worst record in the league.

Seriously, I do like the thread. I hate the jazz more than any other team in sports. I was just explaining why I though the thread was refreshing, the 3 threads a day about the Griffin trade gets annoying, it's nice to have something new.

BTW, I would call myself a Rockets fanatic, just ask my girlfriend, she dreads the start of the season. :)

    My quick list...

    1. Jazz (damn, i hate them soooo much)
    2. Spurs (I got so much joy watchin dream shake down the lil mermaid)
    3. Suns (led by KJ/Barkley. they're fun to watch now, IMO)
    4. Celtics (for the mid-80's alone)
    5. Any team that Shaq plays for

I know I'll probably get reamed for this, but I can't hate on the Sonics, I was a HUGE Kemp fan before he got all fat on us, and I still am a big Payton fan.

My hope for this year is for Malone to get injured and forced into retirement and that Payton finally gets his ring...unless the Rockets have something to say about it.

I don't know guys; one of our biggest problems last year was getting it up for crappy teams. Granted, JVG should be the perfect antidote for that, but I wouldn't put anything past this team. It's not that easy to sweep any team.

While I will always remember when the clock-keeper in Salt Lake defied the laws of physics and caused time to stand still as the worst single moment with regard to those cheaters, in general, of all the things I've hated about the j*zz over the years, I think it was their perfection of the art of the flop that I hated the most. And you know it came from their coach, the Big Flopper (with all appolgies to Billy Paultz), Jerry Sloan.

When it came to flopping, they were the Oscar winners of the B-movie, off-off-Broadway set. They were the neck-brace wearing slimy plaintiffs claiming wiplash and Sloan was their ambulance-chasing scumbag attorney.

Was there ever a j*zz who hit the floor did not hop up whinning?

This act of theirs (and it was definitely an act) became so old and tired that there is no reasonable explanation as to why Stern et al. let it last so long.

One can only wonder if Jerry is germinating a new crop of baby-floppers now? (And perhaps it was Sloan's knowledge that one flop by Rice meant the end of his season that caused Glen to hit the market so quickly).
