Now that it looks more and more as if we'll soon be greeting a new premiere center here in Houston, one sad note comes to my mind. It's a shame that Hakeem chose to leave us. It would have really been sweet for him to pass the torch to Yao Ming.

Look at the bright side, at least we will see less of Cato's lazy ass.

It's as it should be. Mo came a few years after Elvin Hayes left. Dream came a couple of years after Mo and now Yao Ming is coming one year after Dream.

We not only got #15 for Dream, we also got #38. As nice as it may have been to have Olajuwon, I'm glad we got ample compensation for him.

Videotape will be more useful. Eddie and Yao can work their dreamshake clinic together. Special bonus video - Block Party.

Weren't the Raptors interested in siging Taylor a few years ago when he was a free agent? Maybe they would be willing to trade us Dream for Taylor. The Rockets would get rid of Taylor's long, expensive contract for Dream's short, expensive contract (which ends the same year as Rice's contract). Plus, this allows Griffin to get the playing time he needs next season.
