When i was reading Posts from the Pippen era (and by this i mean when we were gona trade him) and we were saying that we couldnt trade him to a Division Rival like the Lakers and then we trade him to Portland which is in the same division than the Lakers and they are in the same division and none of them are in our division"
my question is why not go and trade him for RICE and Horry which is a much betta trade than CATO and WIlliams and the 4scrubs.."

'Los isn't a scrub... The reason that we traded him to Portland is because Quitten wanted to go to LA, and you can't give a whining b**** like Quitten what he wants.

Not necassarily... Rice may have given us some cap space this year, but I would really rather not be stuck with Horry... Besides, Cato and Rogers are young and have some potential for getting better and Walt is a poor man's Rice when he tries.

When you factor in that trading Quitten to LA punked Phil Jack$on too, all in all I'd say it was a great deal! [IMG]

Glen Rice was aging and in the last year of his contract. Also, he was talking about trying to demand the max when his contract ran out this summer. The Rockets wanted an athletic, defensive minded big man that was young and could learn under Hakeem. Rice was/is an aging, no defense playing, griping, big contract wanting player. Plus, Horry is a MAJOR cap albatross in the midst of a 7 yr 35 mil deal. The Rockets made the best of a bad situation in the Pippen deal.

I'm happy with the Catomic Bomb, Los, and the Wizard.

    Gotta say this:

    1. I love Los: the charactor, the athelticism, the versility.

    2. Horry isn't welcom in H-town since he impregnated Calvin's daughter. I think he's great, but he'll never be back.

    3. Rice would have fit great with the old school double post, but in Houston he'd still be the third option.

    Amen, Rockets03....what the hell?

Keeping Pippen out of LA is always a good thing.....even if it would have been fun watching him fight it out with Bryant.
