What movies were the worst of the worst for you -- ones you walked out on. A movie so horribly bad that after paying $7.50 (or the current price), plus concessions, that you would gave up on it. You decided that you would rather give up the money than torture yourself by watching the rest of the movie. I've only done that once -- for Natural Born Killers. (Confession -- the theater manager did give us guest passes when we started to complain -- apparently it happened a lot.) How about you? ------------------ Stay Cool...
I just saw Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps and I WISH I had walked out on it. Horrible. Other stinkers: Beloved, Gladiator, and Being John Malkovich,
Armageddon. All that money, such a piece of c*#p. ------------------ Current Rocket's Salary & Contract Info
outlaw, are you serious? Being John Malkovich was excellent. Mine would have to be Coyote Ugly, The Cell, What Lies Beneath, and Nutty Professor II. Oh crap, I saw those four movies in the last month. I killed more brain cells in that time than drinking or smoking pot as ever done to me. ------------------ "I'll drop kick those f*ckin' dogs if they come anywhere near me." visit www.swirve.com
Oh, looks like I'm a minority here. I've always liked Ben Stiller, but I guess that movie just didn't appeal to me. I might have been in a bad mood that day, because often times the movies I watch are biased in terms of the mood I'm in, or how who I was with, etc. It sounds kind of silly, but if I'm having an awesome weekend, and watch a movie with a bunch of friends, I might percieve it to be better than it actually is. The Virus with Jamie Lee Curtis sucked big floppy donkey @#$%s! The Blair Witch Project was lame. The Armageddon clone movie was pathetic. Fortunately I can't remember the name of it. ------------------ Don't you have anything better to do?
Azim I am the same way when it comes to mood and movies. I know some people who also hated Flirting With Disaster so you're not alone. RocketsPimp, I prefered Deep Impact to Armageddon (DI came out first so who knows who copied who?). It had much more heart for a disaster flick.
Out of curiosity, which ones of these did you walk out on? Personally, I'll sit through a bad movie, because I paid my $7.50 + $3.00 for a drink, and I'm going to get every penny's worth I can. The truly horrible movies are the ones not even worth suffering through -- ones that you'ld rather call the ticket price wasted money and walk out in the middle, than enduring the movie to the end. -- Which ones fall into that category? ------------------ Stay Cool...
Just for the record, there is a pretty good movies discussion forum at http://movieforums.com/forums/ if anyone is interested. I have no connection to the site other than that I have been known to post there. Just FYI for anyone who might be interested. Nutty Professor II was pretty bad. I didn't walk out, either. I tried to watch Lost Highway on tape and couldn't make heads nor tails of it. I think I sat through the whole thing, but I may not have. If I had any sense, I would've turned it off. Add me to the list of people who liked Flirting With Disaster, though. It wasn't among the great movies I've seen, but it was entertaining enough for me to sit through (more than once actually. I even taped it off of HBO and have watched it four or five times). I really, really, really hated Blair Witch Project. I still don't see why everyone went gaga over that one. ------------------
Lost highway starring Bill Pullman. I watched about an hour of the movie trying to find the order in the madness. There was no conennction between the scenes. Since there wasn't a coonnection between the scenes, there was no discernable plot- except for the plot that no one knew what was going on. The scenary of the movie wasn't visually pleasing. The "actors" were just reading their lines and looked confused. That was either horrible acting or they were suppose to look confused since their characters weren't suppose to know what was going on. I dare anyone to attempt to watch it all they way thru. ------------------ "You've got 6 fouls, use them well" -Derrick Coleman
outlaw, Gladiator??? I loved that movie, I can understand it not being on your all-time fav list, but on your all-time worst list? Flirting with Disaster (Mary Tyler Moore), stands out as the only movie I've walked out of. Until I remember all the other crappy movies that I've tried to filter out of my memory, I'll list them. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination. We live for the journey.
Trust me, if I had paid for the movie, I wouldn't have left! Someone else paid, so the decision to leave wasn't up to me. I forgot about all the Batman movies save the first one. Sad part is, they all had star-studded casts, but the movies sucked. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination. We live for the journey.
Gladiator was so long and boring. I didn't walk out though. Ironically, I LOVED Flirting with Disaster. Ben Stiller was excellent in it.
Flirting with Disaster was great!!! Ben Stiller is rarely bad. ------------------ "I'll drop kick those f*ckin' dogs if they come anywhere near me." visit www.swirve.com
Man, for ya'll to be listing movies such as "Gladiator", "Batman & Robin", "Pulp Fiction", "Natural Born Killers", and "The Blair Witch Project" as the WORST movies you've ever seen..... well, lemme tell you, you must not be seeing the same crappy ones I've seen. I mean c'mon, even if you didn't like those movies they still have some entertainment value. Now, if you wanna see a couple of bad movies go and try to find: "Baby" - It's about a baby dinosaur that some stupid archaeologists find, or something like that. Absolutely the worst movie ever. "Robo Jox" - This is such a close second to the above movie that the difference in suckiness is unnoticable. Horrible acting, costume design, plot, story, and did I mention acting? There were actually two semi-stars in it too. By the way, I've never walked out on a movie. The only time I came close was when I was watching "The Crying Game". It was after all the hype had died down, and I had made sure that no one had even hinted to me about the "suprise" in the movie. When the "suprise" was finally "revealed", I spit my Coke and popcorn about two rows in front of me (luckily there were only about 8 people in the theater) and got up to leave, but my wife (girlfriend at the time) wouldn't let me go. Talk about a fun movie going experience. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. DREAMer's Rocket Page
