First let me say that I do not follow the daily and really just end up watching some of the playoff games. I want the Rockets to stay and get a new arena. I would like to see Houston get a new arena because I want an NHL team here. The NHL Really wants to be here but like the NBA has said the Compact center is not good enough. les wants a NHL team(He tried to buy the Oilers in 97) and I think that he would make a great owner, since he has always done everything it takes to bring a winner on the court and I think that would transfer to the ice. I am very discouraged now after reading the Chronicle about Rockets situation. I am very surprised that Houston is going to let the 2 time world champions Rockets leave without a fight. The Chronicle said that the rockets may even make a choice as early as june or july as to the future of the Houston Rockets, because it takes 2 or 3 years for the next city to build an arena. It also pointed out that les was not so positive about having a second vote. Notice when the Oilers left that you can hear Cowboys play-by - play on the radio here. Can you imagine having Spurs play - by - play on the radio in Houston or the Mavs?? Look like I said if the Rockets get an arena, We also get an NHL team (very likley) that is my interest in the arena and the Rockets.
