In case anyone has failed to notice training camp is almost upon us and of course the Rockets will open their first pre-season game against Portland on October 7th! I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel! No more threads about Jermain O’Neal demanding a trade or Kobe Bryant and his 4 million-dollar diamond ring he bought for his wife. Damn is anyone as juiced about the upcoming season as me? A new arena, a new coach and a new uniform. Yao Ming is a year older and we finally have our sharp shooter to stretch defenses and keep them honest. The top discussions I will be looking for when camp opens in October: 1. Eddie Griffins development going into his 3rd year – IMO this could be as important as anything that happens this year. Certainly we need to see some major improvements from him this year. 2. Jeff Van Gundy’s impact on team defense and The Three Dribblers a.k.a. Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Moochie Norris. 3. Yao Ming’s continued development and physical condition. Can he play at his all-star level for 32+ minutes a game for 82 games? Will Van Gundy really funnel the offense through Yao Ming this year or at least make him the 1st option on offense? Only one month until the first pre-season game and less than a month until the open of camp! Hallelujah!

I'm excited about the preseason starting again, but this is a pretty dumb poll. We're Rockets fans, of course some of us are excited and the rest don't care. I didn't find the poll necessary so thanks for that last option crash.
The post season has been so uneventul compared to the past several and it has seemed so long, that I can't say I've been looking forward to the season as much as usual. However, once it starts I suspect I feel as always everyday is a better day if the Rockets play, win or lose.
The end of the pinstripes and the grimacing rocket ALONE are reasons enough to be excited. That should have us all dancing in the aisles. 8 .........EIGHT years of our team playing in pajamas. Almost over. shwew - let's put em away like a box full of high school pictures I love the fresh beginning. New Coach New Arena New Uni's YAO MING.............we have all the reason in the world to be looking forward to this season. I'd still like to see another move or two though before we get underway
I can't take it! There's nothing I hate more than the NBA offseason. The Rockets are my life almost, there's nothing I love more....cept women haha... but I'm really lookin forward to this season, more-so than usual. I think about the season everyday crash, if there's anyone more pumped than you, it's me!
