Yao Will play 24 mins as max in Rockets jersey in upcomin' season. T-Mac Will have his first trainin' camp in last three years (two with Rockets, one with Pistons) and Arnee "The Magician" Kander. Simple question: who will have a better season?

The year and a half really can make a difference. This is just another evidence.

    Tmac's done.

Yao may still have something left in the tank. So, I'm gonna go with Yao.

I hope that McGrady leads the Pistons to the playoffs. From the way things are looking, the Pistons making the playoffs can only help us insofar as displacing the Knicks from the playoffs, netting us a lottery pick.

T-Mac is washed up and his athleticism will never be the same as it once was.

Yao is progressing quite well in his rehab and showed himself off against Chuck where he won most of the games.

    This question is a toughie.

I'm sorry but when is this board gonna let go of all things T mac? No I don't have to post in this thread, I just hate seeing his name here. He belongs in the dish. So you have to throw Yao in there, so you can use this forum. Ugh.

Easy there, Tiger.. it's a legit question (if maybe a little annoying).

I thoroughly considered the 'both will fail' option but I decided to go with my heart. Rockets are poised to succeed this year.. I don't know if Yao will 'lead' them, per se, but TMac's team won't see the same kinds of success.

I wish the best to T-Mac, because he'll always remain one of my favorite players. If his career hadn't been derailed by injuries, I believe he'd be the closest thing to Jordan in the league right now. That being said, Detroit sucks. Seriously, why did he go there? Not one single contender showed any interest in him? That's too bad, 'tis a sad ending to an all-time great's career.
Yao is my favorite player, and I'm really, really hoping that he will have a great season. If he does well this year, and isn't plagued by injuries, then I think he could realistically put up another 2-3 good years after this one.
To answer the topic's question: Yao will almost certainly have a better year. He has the skills to be good even after returning from injury. Unless T-Mac has secretly been working on his jumper, I don't see him doing better than The Wall this year. His game has always been centered around his athleticism and ability to finish close to the rim. Yao, however, has a variety of moves in the post and a solid mid-range jumper. His height also makes it so that he doesn't need to be a great jumper to get rebounds. So...Yao will have the better year, and his team will certainly do much better than the Pistons.

I think this thread... good question. Who would have thought Grant Hill would ever come back with all he has gone thru... only time will tell. I hope t-back will find success or be productive in the D even tho i dont care too much for him... I picked it very even

I think this is an unfair poll. I mean everyone here on Clutchfans loves Yao and hates Tmac. Of Course they going to vote for Yao.
