Sorry to bring up this topic once more but I was htinking about something the other day and cant find an answer. Maybe Juan Valdez, if hes around, has one. Anyway, Now that Minnesota has lost their first round pick, what happens if somehow Minnesota finishes with, say, the 8th pick, and Milwaukee is 10th. But then, Minnesota doesnt get that pick, so the Milwaukee pick becomes number 9. Do we still get it? Just wondering. The Jigga ------------------ Remember.... JayZ750 - Great question. This is purely a guess, but I believe if the TWolves are in the Lottery Stern will make them go thru the motions so they feel worse off. They will be assigned a postion and be disallowed to use it. Consequently, if the Lotto balls bounce out with Minnesota anywhere from 1 to 10 and the Bucks at 11, I think Stern will regard the Bucks pick as the 10th player selected and give it to them. Somehow I feel David Stern will be judge and jury on this decision. The Rockets will get the pick sooner or later - it's just a question of which year. ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited November 26, 2000).]
I'm here. I don't know, but it was sweet that you though of me. I agree that Stern will decide this as I get the feeling that a rule hasn't been written down. I'm betting though that all the picks will improve by one after Minn., de facto extending the lotto protections but one place. After all, it is the quality of the pick that is being protected, not the position the teams place in. ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
