Yao and Rockets are probably out out the radar for an average Mavs fan, simply because they blew out Rockets 4 times this season. But judging from the hatred Cuban expressed towards Yao all season, you know deep down they wanted Yao badly. Without an inside presence, Mavs will always be pretenders. They don't have any chance against Kings, Spurs, and Lakers in the playoff.

The fans over there seem to have the same sentiment as the journalists who pick Amare over Yao without ever really seeing much of Yao. They see the slam dunks on Sportscenter and say wow, he's ROY! But why don't we see highlights of Amare's sweet passing touch, the 20 ft jumpers, the clutch free throws? Because they're not there. I think it's going to be a lot easier for Yao to bulk up a little and get stronger in the middle than for Amare to acquire the skills and mental toughness that already make Yao the more complete player.

Cuban has been on numerous sports talk shows claiming that Yao Ming is nothing special, he always downplays Yao's achievements, and even questioned his spot on the all-star team.

Cuban is just jealous, as anyone knows.. the Mav's biggest problem is their softness inside, and Marky Mark just hates the fact that the other two Texas teams have their Franchise big men and he doesn't

Oh. I thought Cuban actually said he hated Yao or something. Thats more like normal criticism. Alot of people have said the same things about Yao.

Cuban has not said mush lately. At least, I am not aware of any comments he has made since the beginning of the season.

Hate gets thrown around a lot, so in a high profile place like the NBA, if you don't like someone, that means you hate them I guess.
