    Here is an interesting tweet from Jake Pavorsky who has an inside sixers source stating that Evan Turner will NOT be included in a deal for Asik.

    This Jake guys seems pretty legit though. Plus he has tons of people asking his opinion in regards to Asik and Philly's moves. Never heard of him before.

    Sam Hinkie playing hardball? Let's see who blinks first.

    If Philly, I want Hawes because he can play center. if not a center, then Philly should add a pick, maybe give us Furkan Aldemir back.

    I don't think Thad for Asik is fair. Asik worth a little more than Thad. Not many defensive centers of Asik's caliber.

    We need a backup center first then a perimeter defender..A pick would also be nice..

    Agreed. I think Hawes gives us the rebounding presence we miss so much when Dwight is on the bench. It's also nice that Hawes can spread the floor. A lineup with both Dwight and Hawes in it should actually be feasible for 10 minutes a game.

    but what about our perimeter defense? :confused:

    My dream trade.

    Send: Trade Lin + Asik,

    Receive: Thad Young (perimeter defender) + Spencer Hawes (Backup Center and Stretch 4) + 1st or second round pick.

    I would be happy even without the picks.

    Legit Contender.

    Aaron Brooks fills in Lin's role offensively off the bench.

    Agreed. Hawes seems to be the better fit also Thad Young should be overlooked due to his versatility on both ends of the floor.

    Hawes would be a very welcome addition to this team, and imo, that maybe the last piece to the puzzle.

    I see either lin or moti going with Asik. If we get thad and hawes there no room for moti whose already riding the bench.

    Why are we taken notice to a kid who looks 12. Surley Jake Pavorsky is not a source at all.

    Filler being Courtney lee and a backup center (maybe 3rd team since celtics don't have anyone)

    Because the "12 year old".

    Is the associate editor of libertyballers.com

    from Philly.

    As you know there are cyberx's and docrockets of the world in other teams forums and connected to those organizations.

    He doesn't speak like a 12 year old.

    Plus what he is saying falls in line to what we are thinking apart from the potential of getting Evan Turner but most of us new Hinkie would most likely part with Thad before Turner. Now his sixers source has eliminated Evan Turner as an option in a Omer Asik trade.

    And at the end of the day... This is fun stuff to follow.

    At least you aren't getting Omer Asik's barber was spotted in Philadelphia eating a Philly cheese steak. (if you understand where this reference is coming from)

    Do you know who follows this "12 year old" on twitter.

    @JasonChadWolf

    Philadelphia 76ers reporter for @delawareonline, @cpsj and @USATODAYsports. Also cover Eagles and Phillies. Penn State alum. Boulevardier.

    @ChrisVito

    Philadelphia 76ers beat writer for the Delaware County Daily Times. Husband. Temple alumnus. Runner. Coffee enthusiast.

    Those are just some of the people I went through on his twitter followers.

    Don't underestimate these "kids" you might be surprised who is connected.

    My BS meter is pretty good. Like I said the kid seems legit.

    You're really confused if you think Brooks can replace Lin.
