Why doesn't Asik lead the league in offensive rebounding? The dude does nothing else on offense. Can't shoot. Can't pass. Can't catch. Can't finish. I'm not hating on him - those are just unfortunate facts. He's a great rebounder on the defensive end? Why can't that translate more to the offensive end - esp. when he has so few other offensive duties?? He should be right up there with the league leaders on offensive boards, or he really isn't contributing to one whole side of the game IMO.
Thanks for saying you weren't hating on him, or else I wouldn't have known. He was good for us last year, as I recall.
Asik is well positioned so he can get defensive rebounds but to get offensive ones, he has to be more than active, sprinting to the hoop and jumping crazy Beverley style
How many offensive rebounds do you think he should get on 25 min a night in a frontcourt with Dwight Howard on 3pt shooting team that turns a ton of shot attempts at the rim into FT's? He's at 3.1 ORb's per 36min.
He has to set screens in the high post, get out of Harden/Lin/Parson/Howard's way AND try to get Offensive rebs? Wow...just wow...clearly your are not hating bro
