Are there any sports that are not included in either Olympics (Summer or Winter) that you think should be included? Are there any that are included that should be eliminated? We know that baseball and softball were voted out a few years ago? Should they have been? Should they have stayed? What are your opinions?

I would get rid of all of the gun related "sports". They don't seem very Olympic to me, and on top of that, they're hella boring.

    GOLF

Golf, one of the most international, traditional, and popular sports (playable as one person alone, man vs. man, or team vs. team).

    ....is NOT an Olympic sport.

    ...

.... but curling is (shuffleboard on ice).

Golf? Might as well make darts an Olympic sport while we're at it.

Any sport where the guy below can excel does not belong in the Olympics.

Any sport/competition where the Olympics is NOT the highest international competition should be eliminated (golf/tennis/etc)

Also, WTF is up with equestrian being in the olympics?

Well, don't worry, he'd never get chosen to represent the country by an olympic committee.

Curling is not much of a sports, neither is Golf.
The difference is that Golf is already shown on TV hundreds of times and takes up much tv time. That is also true for several other popular sports, tennis, BB ...

There are many sports which do not get air time except for the Olympics, I don't mind giving them their 15 minutes of fame.

They should do Olympic MMA. I don't like MMA but it could be interesting.

They should also change the scoring system in boxing, because it sucks. There can be people getting spanked and no points counting against them and vice versa.

Olympic Karaoeke would be cool. Olympic Pole Dancing would be sweet too.

i think shooting requires really really really good concentration. that's one of the key elements in any sports. so i am ok with that.

but i do think that a lot sports have way too many categories, like swimming, diving (get rid of synchronized), shooting, etc.

handball is boring, get rid of it. it's like basketball players trying to play soccer.

there are others, but i can't think of any at the moment.

I've always felt that any sport where most of the effort is not from a human should not be included which would mean eliminating the equestrian events.

I would like to see more combative sports such as Kendo and think it would be great if they brought back the original Olympic mixed martial art Pankration that combines boxing and wrestling.

I disagree with Olympic MMA. They already have boxing and MMA is still considered to be just two guys pummeling each other to many.

I'm a big fan of badminton. It requires alot of physical energy. So does ping pong. These are sports that are huge in Asia and other parts of the world.

I'm not too big a fan of synchronized swimming though.

    eliminate: Softball (not enough countries play it); Several of the shooting events (keep some not all); Synchronized Swimming; Synchronized Diving; Rhythmic Gymnastics (swap it for ballroom dancing);

Add: Jiujitsu or submission wrestling (full scale MMA is too bloody, tattooed, and drug-ridden and thus outlawish for the olympics IMO), Golf, Rugby, Polo (played in a lot of countries), Indoor soccer or Beach soccer too.

don't add any more martial arts stuff.

what they should do is, wherever the olympics is held, use that area's martials. so for beijing, use mongolian wrestling, instead of the the usual one. chinese swords fighting instead of fencing. so and and so forth. if it's in europe, switch back. if in south america, do their stuff. same for africa. that will give more peole chance to join in and we can see different culture and learn a thing or two.
