1 player of notability goes to Europe so all of the sudden anything they say, is important!

2010? are you kidding me? no way this could happen. even if olympiakos will offer him the said 40 mio $ per season. lebron james will be the best player in the nba in 2010. it's not always about salaries, it's also about endorsement deals. i doubt he could earn more in europe when you combine both. plus, it's also about fame and competition. i mean the gap is closing for sure, but come on, this won't happen.

You know... the Rockets have 2010 free agent who idolized an Euro star growing up and might want to follow the path of his hero.

You can't put a price on Lebron's legacy. He would severely hurt if not destroy any chance at the title of GOAT if he spent any stretch of his career playing anywhere other than the NBA.

They can target him but he isn't going there.
Greece played sound fundamental international rules basketball to beat the US and deserved to win and I know it's unfair for me to say this but in comparison to the NBA,the Greeks have a barn league.

If the USA does not win gold and the dollar continues to slide into the doldrums, I could see things like this happening.

Ain't no way. He's going to the Knicks or Nets which will explode his endorsement value (that already far exceeds his NBA contract).

I'm pretty sure his Nike contract is worth more than anything Olmpiagyros could offer him.

bull**** Lebron is bigger than that.

Once its over the 30 m mark he can make in the U.S he wont even care. Leaving the states would be a sign of betrayal.

BESIDES...PAUL PIERCE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA RIGHT? THERES A BIGGER CHANCE HE'LL BE GONE LOL

Sliding scale, whatever big money he signs for in Europe he'll lose in endorsements. At MOST he'd break even with what he'd do just staying in the US. As though this was gonna happen anyways.

If Jay-Z becomes part owner of the Olympiakos team, then they just might have a chance.
