So I was bored today and remembered my uncle saying something about a super nintedo.... I asked him about it and he said he had one in storage from a long time ago.... I told him to bring out and see if it still works.... It was in way better shape then I imagined. I never owned a super nintedo, I had the Sega Genesis so seeing and playing the snes was actually exiting.... I was entertained for about 15 to 20 minuted then put away lol.... Anyways I took pictures... One of my fav games growing up, "The Lion King"... Never knew about this game until today but it was really good for its time... "Warlock" I know I have a Sega Genesis and a Nintendo 64, so what old systems did yall own and might still have put away? And yes I know...
I still have my Atari and a few of the games. It works but I haven't played it in years. My son just got a $20 Atari controller that has like 50 of the old games on it that plugs into the TV. I use to have to beg my grandma for $20 so I could get a game and now you can get 50 loaded into the controller for $20.
I still have my NES and SNES. They both still work. I have ~20 games for the NES and ~10-15 for the SNES. I had to bust out the NES a couple years back for an original Metroid fix. Metroid rules.
N64, have it at work but havent played in years. Especially since they took out the break room TV. In a couple years, regular Xbox...? in 2001, Super Nintendo was already "old school". It'll be the same decade difference for Xbox, isnt that something. I was never able to be a 2 systems at the same time guy. I used to envy the rich guys who'd have a Nintendo, Sega, Game Boy, Atari Jaguar and Turbo Graphix all at the same time.
mega man X was the best on SNES. also super mario world was too. I have a Wii now and you can download a lot of the old games for the SNES and other older consoles like Super Mario World but I wish they had that Mega Man game I use to play back then. Anyone know if they have Mega Man X on the Wii now for download cause I haven't touched that thing for a long time now? but still remember those things like yesterday tho.
Whoa. Lion King - Fun as hell when you're 7. Warlock - I had that one too.. Brings back so many memories. Those were the days when a simple platformer could keep you occupied for days.
Have- Snes-60 games Nes-50 games N64-30 games Dreamcast- a dozen I grew up with older brothers so I've been fortunate to know the greatness of Nintendo. My brothers left all the systems to me so I always bust them out when I feel nostalgic. Just takes a while for my NES to play since it's older then me. What's your favorite old school title? One of the greatest games that I have and stands out from all the systems has to be
One the Sega Genesis I used to have "NBA JAM", I played that game for hours and hours... I also loved "Gunstar Heroes" and "Lion King" was prob my fav game on the Genesis.... I could not afford the Super Nintendo but I heard Lion King had better sound and graphics on the snes and yes it does have much better sound and graphics... When I got the N64 my first game was "Jet For Gemini" and that is also my fav game on the N64, anyone ever played Jet Force Gemini?.... Whoa, I bought an atari when I was little thinking it was better then my nes... I didnt know it was older lol .. It berely worked and sigh big waste of money.... I am amazed some of these old systems you guys have still work... Imagine how in the world an Xbox360 will make it longer then 5 years...
I still have one of these in storage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnavox_Odyssey Yep, I'm pretty old.
Haha, Street Fighter was in the bunch... I didnt even try it, went straight for Scorpion and Mortal Kombat.... I won a fight and kept trying out the other games... Maybe I will take more pics later of the other games for those who want childhood memories...
I have a Saturn, pretty rare. Sega CD and the Virtual Boy also seem pretty rare. SNES holds its value unlike any other.
I still have a SNES, and Super Tecmo Bowl is still one of my all time favorite games. I used San Fran, traded for Barry Sanders and wrecked shop
Anyone remember Another World (Out of this World)? Such an incredible game, waaaaaaaaaay ahead of its time. Check out the intro below. This game came out in the same year as the original Sonic the Hedgehog! <object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zgkf6wooDmw&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zgkf6wooDmw&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>
