Interesting, he lived in my town as well. He was great in that role. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 'Old School' actor Patrick Cranshaw dies Fort Worth resident best remembered as Blue in 2003 comedy 06:36 PM CST on Thursday, December 29, 2005 By TOM MAURSTAD / The Dallas Morning News Patrick Cranshaw, a working actor for more than 50 years who appeared in dozens of films before he got his "big break" playing Blue, the elder fraternity brother in the hit comedy Old School, was found dead of natural causes in his Fort Worth home on Wednesday. He was 86. Patrick Cranshaw Since he appeared as "bartender at dance" in the 1955 feature Texas Lady, Mr. Cranshaw made a career out of playing colorful and/or crotchety characters in films and TV shows. But in what is usually the twilight of one's career, Mr. Cranshaw's was reborn. He became a star among the playground crowd with his roles in kid-friendly fare such as Herbie: Fully Loaded and Air Bud and its sequels. And he became a pop culture hero when he played the scene-stealing Blue in Old School. The 2003 comedy starring Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson grossed $75 million at the box office and in its DVD afterlife has become one of those movie that seemingly everyone under the age of 40 can recite scenes from. And at the center of the movie was Mr. Cranshaw's Blue. "You're my boy, Blue," Mr. Ferrell's character screamed in the movie. And as it turns out, lots of people yelled it in real life, too. "Everywhere he went people would yell 'Blue, hey Blue, you're my boy Blue,' " says his daughter, Beverly Trautschold. It's like he became a rock star in his 80s." After all these years, how did he react to his sudden fame? "It shocked him, amazed him," she says. "But he loved it." Though he had moved back from Los Angeles to Fort Worth to be closer to his family, Mr. Cranshaw was still working. He had recently returned from Vancouver, where he was shooting scenes for another Air Bud installment. A public memorial will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church, 612 Throckmorton, in Fort Worth. He is survived by two daughters and one son.

he may have played one of the of the best "senior citizen" roles EVER! "You're my BOY, BLUE!".....RIP...
At least he got to handle some lovely young breasts before he passed on... something I'm afraid I'll never do again :-( You're still my boy Blue!
+ RIP. Anybody ever wonder WTF is "natural causes"??? There's a tribe in Africa that believes that people live forever unless killed by something, including disease or poisoning, but NEVER "natural causes", so there's ALWAYS an investigation. There HAD TO BE something Blue died of... I believe there's no such thing as "natural causes"... no one dies of being old...
