I'm in the process of moving, and it's amazing what you dig up that you had forgotten about. Most notably, some old Rox pics. These are B&W prints. I am not sure of the date, perhaps someone can help me with that. I'm guessing this is early-mid 1970s. Perhaps the most interesting one is the one with Rudy T throwing out what appears to be the "first pitch", but with a basketball. It's clearly in the Astrodome, and I think all Houston sports (at that time) are supposed to be represented. I can identify Sid Gilman (I believe) of the Oilers; Gordie Howe of the Aeros; I don't know who the other individual is; and then Rudy T. It's also autographed by Rudy T. I don't recall how I got these. But those were the days when I just started getting into the Rockets. Can anyone else identify the other gentlemen in the Rudy T photo? OK -- can anyone tell me how to post photos from my computer? I can't seem to do it. This website seems to let you post photos from the internet, but not your computer.
some options Become a Clutchfans subscription member then Attatchments are allowed (here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/account/upgrades ) and you'll feel good about giving or Post image in a post using twitter, IG, facebook, then post that post here. or Post to a free image site like https://postimages.org (doesn't require a login) then post the URL using the Image button above (looks like a painting)
here, it worked. You just grabbed the wrong link after uploading from postimg.cc. Grab the Direct Link url, which will have a file extension for the image type.
https://postimg.cc/67mCtXt5 The link you provided, works, but as a URL to a webpage (click the link above), not as an IMAGE, because it was just a URL to the page containing the image. To use the IMG button here, you need the jpg, gif, png, etc file name. When it says upload completed, grab the Direct Link here
I've got this same stock press photo format of Ed Ratleff...it's from either the '76-'77 or '77-'78 season.
Ok great, many thanks for your help. I will try again this evening, but it looks like you got two of the three posted. The other is of Cliff Nealy, and also autographed.
I think you would be correct. That's about when I started following the Rockets. I was about 10 years old.
I'll be interested to know if anyone knows who the guy next to Rudy T is. A baseball player I would guess.....
you're getting close. Instead of pasting the image URL naked into the post (like above), click the Image Button and paste the image URL in there when asked. The Image Button looks like a painting. It will wrap it with the necessary BBS Codes to display the image in the post. Thanks for sharing!
I've got some of these old photos also. They used to give them out at the games during the Hofheinz pavilion years. I have one with my brother posing with Ed Ratliff. They had a picture night where you could have your picture taken with a Rockets player. The tickets were almost free back then. And all the seats were lower bowl.
