Starts at 19 min. He's saying Melo is not a ball handler, he needs to be in a catch and shoot position. He should be in the receiving end of the 2nd or 3rd pass. The weakest position that's on the Knicks right now is the Pg plays, it doesn't fit with Melo. Melo needs a Pg with speed, attacks the rim, penetrate and kick out. If they have this type of player, Tyson Chandler, and Melo, they can go far and maybe make the 3rd seed and be a legit threat.

Funny how Jeremy Lin filled that position and they traded him away, and then boasted that Lin isn't as good as the fatty mcfat who calls himself a point guard.

The Knicks never traded Jeremy Lin.

In fact, they had confidence they would be able to re-sign him until Morey crafted a contract offer that made it a difficult, financially, to match.

oops I meant let him go. The gm of the Knicks messed up I think. Even looking back, it was such an uncalculated risk. They prob just thought no one will sign Jeremy Lin and then just went with that as data without really looking into other team's salary cap space and roster. This is something Morey will never, ever do.

I think rather than sign him and lock him up before he could walk, let let him test free agency hoping that no one would sign him so they could sign him for less money.

they basically thought everyone would think that jeremy lin was just a flash in the pan. nekminit, Houston comes knocking with NO pointguards after losing Dragic/trading angry Lowry, and the very real prospect of courtney fortson (not really i hope).

The Knicks and Dolan still could have made it happen if they really wanted to. No excuses about luxury tax difficulties. It's the Knicks and Dolan not San Antonio or Milwaukee.
