I'd just like to talk a little smack to all of you SHSU graduates out there... what happened, you let a 1st year 1-AA football team come into your house and whoop up on you! On Fox Sports Southwest, too... Of course, that team would be my alma mater, THE University of Central Arkansas.....

Do it Like a Big Bear!!!

    38-30!!!!

    :p :p :p

Ugh....I thought we'd roll over you guys. I guess having to play our 3rd string QB because of injuries finally came back to haunt us, especially on that last INT. Horrible throw.

Oh well. Good game by UCA. You should be a good addition to the Southland Conference. Welcome.

You surprised us this year....but rest assured, it won't happen next year when it counts!

Yall played a great game, great playcalling. The SHSU defense had gaping holes in it (their worst game of the season), the o-line broke down for the first time this season, and our QB threw into double-coverage hoping his receiver would bail him out too many times. We also didn't run the ball near enough ... DD Terry (our HB) had less than 20 carries I believe while averaging something like 6 or 7 yards a carry.

Good thing this one doesn't matter too much ... though we do lose any chance at an at-large bid into the playoffs.

Yep, we pretty much have to win the conference now, but that should be the goal anyway, so I guess that's OK. Hopefully this game will be a wake up call and let them know that the Southland isn't going to roll over for them, even though we're the only team with a winning record.

Any word on when/if Wade Pate is coming back at QB? Did they go ahead and redshirt Bomar?

The conference is down this year. The Southland is traditionally one of the strongest in 1-AA. I think Sam can definitely win it. Northwestern, McNeese, Nichols, SFA, and TS are all down.

I didn't even realize the game was on until I saw the CA offense in victory formation there at the end. Oh well..

    GO KATS!

From what I hear Pate can play, but the shoulder is pretty sensitive and one hit to it could knock him out for good. I wish they would've tried to get a medical redshirt, but doesn't look like that can happen anymore.

Bomar is still waiting to hear from the NCAA. This is just me speculating ... but I think this is his "suspension", them making him miss all of these games. No way it should take that long for them to make a ruling.
