    Houston sends:
    • Kelvin Cato $6.048,000
    • Walt Willimas $5,000,000
    • Kenny Thomas $946,920[*]Dan Langhi $465,850
      Total: $12,460,770
    to Chicago

    Chicago sends:
    • Ron Mercer $6,750,000
    • Brad Miller $4,400,000 (plus $690,000 trade kicker)[*]Eddy Curry $2,232,000
      Total: $13,382,000

    To Houston

The trade is viable because both teams are under the cap so the 115% + $100,000 rule does not apply and the values fall within cap restrictions.

Hey! Its good to have a Dream! At least I used to think that way. Now all I have is memories.

I like the idea of doing a deal w/ Chicago, but not w/ so many players involved. I'm not sure Curry is a good fit for this team b/c of his very young age and lack of maturity and I know Ron Mercer is not a good fit whatsoever.

I really think KT should be retained. Not many players have his combo of shooting, driving off the dribble, passing, rebounding, and at least adequate D.

I really don't think Langhi is going anywhere, simply for the reasons that Bullard was let go of and Langhi purchased a new house in H-Town this summer - likely w/ assurances from RT that he would be retained.

Regardless of Rocket!!!'s obvious intentions, don't ever underestimate the ignorance of Krause to go for something like this!! Krause would be salivating at the muzzle for the $5M in capspace he would get out of this deal for next summer - even though nobody would sign w/ him yet again!

No really, I just wanted to make the point that KT and Langhi should and probably will be kept on the roster in light of the many times Popeye has hinted that something w/ Chicago may be on the horizon.

    Good call!

    However:
Quitten ...... are you telling me you would not unload Cato's salary for the possibility of Curry, the ability to dump Miller in one year if we wanted and the tradability of Mercer.

    What........

    ARE YOU HIGH OR SOMETHING!!!!:D :D :D :D

    LOL!!!!

Will never go down! Not this season at least. Plus, I don't think Bulls is ready to unload Mercer since trading Brand to clippers causes a void in the forward position. Anything can happen under Krause power, cause the guy is just simply cheap!!

Okay, if you didn't like that one........how about this

Houston trades: Kenny Thomas $946,920 to Chicago
Houston trades: Jason Collier $1,280,067 to Washington
Houston trades: Kelvin Cato $6,048,000 to Chicago
Houston trades: Dan Langhi $465,850 to Chicago
Houston trades: Walt Williams $5,000,000 to Chicago
    TOTAL: $13,740,837

Chicago trades: Brad Miller $4,400,000 to Houston (plus Trade Kicker $690,000)
Chicago trades: Ron Mercer $6,750,000 to Denver
Chicago trades: Eddy Curry $2,232,000 to Houston
    TOTAL: $13,382,000

Denver trades: Kevin Willis $3,000,000 to Washington
Denver trades: Raef LaFrentz $3,755,142 to Washington
    TOTAL: $6,755,142

Washington trades: Hubert Davis $2,368,421 to Houston
Washington trades: Courtney Alexander $1,418,355 to Houston
Washington trades: Jahidi White $4,413,375 to Houston (BYC Value $3,310,031)
Washington trades: Etan Thomas $1,493,046 to Houston
    TOTAL: $9,693,197

Houston, Denver, and Washington are over the cap, the 15% trade rule is applied.

Washington would also receive a trade exception of $554,644 with this trade.

We can still do this without renouncing Mooch.

I don't have the salary specifics on this deal, but I think this will work.

Walt/Cato/Langhi/#1/#2 for Garnett. We get a superstar player, the Wolves get trash.....um I mean depth. Plus, they're starving for draft picks.

This thread reminds me of the Simpsons:

"I'll trade you my delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish."

Yea, but what a tasty danish Curry would be indeed!

Just think how sticky he would be to all those rebounds and how sweeeeeeeet it would be to see him pushing Shaq around one day as well as swat everything in sight.

Yummy, yummy, yummy, I got "D" in my tummy!

Oh God...........I have finally lost it! Please help?????
