http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2008/07/what-next-for-o.html Wouldn't mind a hometown kid come back to Houston, but we don't have the pieces.
Not a high priority acquisition, though would finally, absolutely, solidify the front. Let's worry about PG first.
Rebound City then we wouldn't worry about losing the offensive rebounds anymore when we got Okafor!! Sorry I'm getting off season madness.
I am not suprised that he wants out, but what happened to having loyalty to your city? So many guys are in and out these days......
His qualifying offer is worth $7M next season plus it's not like he's blown anybody away as a pro. Take the qualifying offer now, plan on becoming a FA next summer and then playing your butt off in a contract year makes much more sense than pushing your luck now.
Come on if we can get Okafor you want him to be just a backup? Let's play 2 centers on the floor together! Heck if we had both Chris Paul and Steve Nash I wouldn't mind having 2 PGs on the floor at the same time......
he would take care of all the frontline problems we have, youth, legs, rebounding, blocking, defense... and can play both 4 and the 5. having said that, not gonna happen.
Let's see, we can send our expiring roster trash: bjax sfrancis head novak hayes for okafor. makes sense for us would love to see okafor next to Yao though
remember people actually wanted orlando to take him over howard. anyway I would stay in charlotte if I were him, charlotte messed up with the morrison pick but I still think once may is fully healthy they'll have a nice nucleus. I loved the jason richardson pick up.
Not only that, there was someone here last summer still arguing that Howard was no better than Okafor. Agree with you on Sean May; not so much on JRich.
