    The article says the house was bought for 120K in 1947. In 2005 dollars, this amount is only worth 6.1 million.

    Pretty good appreciation in value.

    There's a guy building a house up in Montana that was supposed to be worth over $150 million. I know some guy paid over $100 million for land in the Hamptons... that's just for the land - doesn't include the house I think he's gonna build on it. There are a few "houses" up around that range I think.
