Okay, we can tank now. Mathematically eliminated (I didn't even notice that until now). Tank and let the rooks get some practice. EG in particular could use the time. sit Stevie and Cuttino for longer periods than usual - only 25 or so mpg for them from here on out. Divide the difference up between those who actually need it to develop. And let that Tierre guy play some, I like what I've seen from him (especially if we have to use Mooch in a trade somewhere down the line)... I am generally philosophically opposed to tanking - I usually think that we should try to win no matter what - but at this point, why bother? Hell, if it's even possible to drop a slot in the draft it would be worth it. I never thought I would say this, but the time to tank is now.
Welcome to the darkside. There's what? like 13 games left or something? I don't think a little winning streak would do anything to improve morale or anything like that. Still don't think we should necessarily lose on purpose ... but if we lose, no biggie. oh, btw treeman, http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31078
I feel you treeman. At first, I did not want to tank. This was around when the Rockets beat the Timberwovles, Jazz, and Sonics. I was hyped and thought they showed complete ball. Recently, their play has been unfortunate. I can really see that the draft pick can really help this team. I don't want them to put Steve Francis an Cuttino Mobley on the injured list and flat out tank. But develop the players.
We all know what this team is capable of. It will be a shame not to see it happen... But it's time to share the love and develop the players. Thanks, Crisco - I didn't notice that!
Damn treeman, this might be the first post I have seen from you over here. But you still couldn't title your thread without using military terminology. TANK!
