OK, now Jerry Lewis is horribly fat and gray?!?

I don't know if y'all saw this, but Jerry Lewis is now Obese as all hell with "slightly graying" hair. (we're talking over 300 lbs.!)

Is this the reincarnation of Jabba the Hut?!?

Nobody over the age of 60 looks like Jerry Lewis does now. That, And all of his friends died years ago.......

(Jerry sold his soul to the devil.......admit it.)

Actually Moestavern19: I saw that also......

However.....

AFI was started at 9:30 yesterday.
Phxsuns was started at around 10:00 tonight.
Best Tex-Mex was started at 12:00 this eve (and with some serious input on my behalf)
Jerry fat ass Lewis was started at 12:30.

But I did find it weird that the FOUR topics I'd created over the past couple of days were on the top of the board, also. (and if you check, I didn't do it!)

I think he is sick man, it's his medicine, which is keeping him alive but making him blow up.

Over the past 17 months lifesaving medication has caused legendary comedian JERRY LEWIS to pack on 50 pounds, making him almost unrecognizable to his millions of fans around the world. The MDA Telethon host tells ET's JANN CARL how pulmonary fibrosis almost cost him his life!

JANN CARL: How are you doing?

JERRY LEWIS: It's 17 months. I am trying to break out of what the prednisone does. Dr. MICHAEL DeBAKEY said it is the greatest worst drug ever invented. But it is the only drug that can get my lung back. After it collapsed, they said, "We are going to have to pump the prednisone." I went to 60 mg. and that makes you lulu like you smoked four joints. I was eating people's sweaters!

JANN: When did the lung collapse?

JERRY: I got the pulmonary fibrosis in May 2001. In October, a good four weeks after the telethon, my lung collapsed, and they rushed me to ICU. They do a procedure where they go in and blow it up like a tire. It doesn't sustain though. The drug must beat the fibrosis. They almost talk to each other. The drug says, "You shouldn't be here," but the fibrosis says, "Yes, but it is comfortable." The drug says, "No, no, no. Find another place."

JANN: How long will you have to be on it?

JERRY: Six more months. I have news for you. JACK COLLIER is the most brilliant pulmonary doctor in the world, and I am lucky he is in Las Vegas right by my house. I got the lung checked three weeks ago, and he says, "That is the best test we've had in a year and a half."

I said, "Then I can get off the prednisone, get the weight off, and get back to normal." He said, "No. You have six more months. Did Sam tell you about the phone call at the end of February?" I said, "No." He said, "I told her to get your affairs in order. That is how bad you were. We didn't think you were going to make it."

Then he says to me, "How does the six months sound now?" I said, "It sounds great -- 24 weeks, I can do with my hands behind my back." The disease takes a couple of years, but they didn't tell me that at the beginning.

JANN: You recently talked in an article about suicide. Were you really thinking about killing yourself?

JERRY: Yes. I had the gun in my bathroom -- a 9mm, beautiful Beretta. I said, "It is only going to take a second." Then I thought it was cowardly, but I was in such pain, I didn't care if I was a coward.

JANN: You're doing great now.

JERRY: The one thing that happened since that terrible time is Dany. Dany got me out of my depression. She came over to me one day -- my daughter, my miracle baby -- and she was upset. I said, "What is the matter baby?" She said, "Daddy, I need to talk to you. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I don't think you are going to get better unless you use your courage."

I got up that night and went into the kitchen to have dinner. I didn't have it brought to me. I went up the stairs, got in the shower, started to whistle a little bit and my brain came back. She brought my head back. I couldn't do anything physically, but she brought my head back.

I was thinking I was going to see DEAN (MARTIN), FRANK (SINATRA) and SAMMY (DAVIS JR.) any minute now. I better prepare my act. I knew pulmonary fibrosis was a fatal disease if it is not caught. Luckily, mine was caught.

Jerry has some kind of health problem and is on serious meds that have caused the serious weight gain. Sorry don't know the specifics.

Sonny and giddyup have it right. Lewis is on medication that is making im swell up and gain weight. I believe it is some type of steriod.

I hope he gets better. He has done so much for chartities with his telethon and all. You can just tell he is in so much pain.

Might want to consider that before you call Lewis Jabba the Hut.

I have always loved jerry Lewis. I grew up watching his old movies every sat and sunday on public television as a kid. I am 28 now and am a huge fan of comedy and humor in general. no one was as funny as gerry. Inact many of todays greatest funny people are complete knockoffs of his schtik. can we say Jim Carey.

also, even if he was not fighting a deadly disease, and he was not heavily medicated, who cares if he is fat. Hell I guarontee there are plenty of people on this BBS that are bigger than him. I also guarentee that that man has done more good for the world than most everyone on this BBS. Most likely everyone on this BBS. Think of how many times he has made people smile. not even counting his charity work.

I really hope he recovers. He is the kind of guy that never really got the respect he deserved.
