I want to resemble Charles Jones. Except that Im only 22.

If I took the court I guess maybe a Scott Brooks or a Chris Jent. I can occasionally hit the jumper or get the critical steal, but if I drive to the hole I am going down to the ground and getting the ball slammed in my face.

I am White and I can't jump. That's why I play outside. As the Rock says, "Know your role."

i'll be rudy tomjanovich every team needs a coach and i can be in charge of making sure 22 year old charles jones and scott/chris jent don't get in the game.

I love playing basketball but it's not my best, football is, but i'm still good. My play is like Kenny Thomas i'm big (6'0'' 200 ) young(16) and pretty aggressive. But sometimes I act like Bark and Rasheed, I set the record for technicals and ejections in my travel league. We played 16 games I had 12 t's and 5 ejections. The best was how I got ejected for kicking a ball at and hitting a ref, that cost me 2 games.

My game is like Sam Cassel's. I drive with reckless abandon - flailing my body this way and that. I'm always on the border of control, but but I can get the ball in. And I can always "stop and pop" like Sammy. Basically - very playground.
But I am much prettier than Sam.

in slc that's a hard question, b/c being 5'10" you have no counterparts at 6'7".

rebound: like Barkley which doesn't go over well when I elbow my own friends (by accident)

defense: i try to be alert at all times like quitten, but my 70 hour work weeks through Feb/March made me a bit slower (and fatter)

one-on-one: god I love glucosamine, my crossovers are safe again considering my knees don't hurt when I get low to the ground.

shooting -
again, I'm 5'10"... which gets me laughed at I'm sure when people see me practicing a dreamshake (seriously) but my inside game is more like a Tim Duncan (only b/c I use the bboard tons) and my outside game is like Bryce (can you say 'life below the net')...
it's not uncommon for me to go to a court and shoot 100s of free throws and outside shots just b/c I think its despicable to see a guard miss an open shot.

in any other city I don't want to think what my game would be like. people here freak when you honk let alone play d on them (last year 3 different people freaked on me for standing still as they pivoted and got deep thigh bruises against my knee). When I used to play in Charleston it was my life & limb, and I was alot more timid and shot outside shots that, at the time, I couldn't make.

I used to resemble the Wizard in my 'heyday'...silky smooth offensive moves, good passer, and not so good on D. Pretty slow overall, but still could find ways to score. Not as good from the outside as Walt, though.

Well, I don't fit any one player description, but I do:

Dunk like Scottie Brooks,

Block shots like Brent Price,

Rebound like Bryce Drew,

Have a sweet crossover dribble like Charles Jones,

Play that smothering D like Walt Williams,

and have that awesome 3 point range of Charles Barkley.

And don't even get me started on my serious Pete Chilcutt low-post moves . . .

Let me start by saying I wanna be on the team opposite Darkhorse and brahma rocket. Man, don't tell everyone you jack up shot after shot and ball hog. Let them find out on their own...

wizard took who I used to be most like. I was very intense and could hit a big shot any time. Plus, my defense was actually better than my offense. Now, I'd have to say I'm more like Elie. Tough D, solid O, but not quite the young pup I used to be. I consider myself a good passer, but most people don't expect my Jason Williams-esque passes. KEEP THOSE EYES OPEN.

Of course I've only played like 2 or 3 times in the last 6 months.

20% Charles Barkley inside game (back it in strong)
20% Matt Maloney rebounding (very mediocre)
20% Robert Horry shooting (VERY streaky)
20% Brent Price defense (kinda bad, but lots of hustle)
20% Bryce Drew passing and driving (pass a lot from drives . . . can usually get past my man, but not fast enough to stay past him all the way to the basket)

100% slow, out of shape white guy

Here's my guess about this whole thing. I bet that all the people in this post who identify with normal level players as their role models are the best players here. That's just a theory. It makes sense, because we all know no one here really posts like Charles Barkley, or drives like Clyde Drexler, that must just be an active imagination talking. Someone who identifies with Kenny Thomas, however, that shows they've really been watching.


P.S. I got a Killer Crossover, Dream Shake, Baseline, Stop 'n Pop, Fade Away, 360 Windmill, Sky Hook that'll eat you mothas for breakfast. Come get some!!!!!
