OK I won't claim to be an expert on this, but does our medical staff deserve blame?

OK I won't claim to be an expert on this, but does our medical staff deserve blame?

I mean at least some blame?

I've seen people mention this here and there in other threads, but I feel like this topic deserves more attention. Why do our team doctors keep missing all these MAJOR issues for so long after repeated examinations?

And even aside from that, is it unfair to put some of the blame for the ridiculous amount of injuries we have on the med staff? Is this ALL because we're just unlucky and have injury prone players?

you can't blame it all on the med staff, but the med staff does take some blame.

Okay I said this months ago and people laughed at me. The medical staff stinks. Fire them...

This won't happen because I'm sure someone is buddy buddy with someone up top. Still, why are they missing these things and recommending playing through an injury? That is not a good practice. Rehab should have been done until the pain was gone and then he should have been scanned and checked out before playing. Instead T-mac dicked around his rehab and the doctors cleared him by telling him to play on it.

It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. Don't think that because they are doctors that they have any clue as to what they are doing. There are plenty of hacks who know the right people-- Especially in the sports industry.

we should have replaced them earlier when they took long before finding out the fracture on yao's foot and when they missed the injury tmac had last time.

these are 2 of your best players and they screw it up.

why can they be like the phx doctors who got grant hill playing basketball again, and shaq like he's not 37yrs old.

    A couple things:
-If there is a bald spot that was missed during or caused during the scope, that would be cause for a malpractice lawsuit.

-If there was sufficient cartilage missing at the time of the November MR and it was missed - that's 95% on the radiologist, and only slightly on the orthopaedics.

-There's a chance that a pinhole sized barespot progressed to a detectable size over the course of 3 months....but it would be odd if no swelling or pain accompanied it.

-There's a chance that a small amount of cartilage "chipped off" and left a bald spot, but again, there would be over symptoms like locking or swelling.

-If the docs did find a bald spot in his knee in November, the only difference would be that he'd have been shut down then and missed the season, sparing us the ridiculous soap opera.

-There's nothing any doctor or trainer could have done to prevent a bald spot from occurring, other than forbidding McGrady to ever play again. Cutting down his minutes or having him sit out more games would only delay the bald spot formation.
