Ok, I admit it. I've seen it.

    Who thinks:

#1: Obi-Wan is a bad parent figure for Darth Vader, and is not at all like the guy in episode 4.

#2: Padme, despite being a heroic figure, is ultimately to blame, along with Obi-Wan, for the fall of the Republic.

#3: Yoda is a punk ass b****, nothing like his character in the second and third movie, who deserves to have his whole world fall around him, for his self indulgence.

#4: The 'grab on the centapede-spitting robot' scene was totaly ripped off from 'The Fifth Element'.

#5: The concept of 'adding balance to the force' inherently involves the rise of the dark side, and the ultimate distruction of the Jedi? If so, then why the hell do the Jedi spend so much time persuing this goal?
    I'm disapointed. Anyone else?

The bootleg is all over the web. You can get it probably with any file sharing program out there. I have resisted thus far but it is very difficult. The force is not strong in my family. ;)

Your patience will pay off. You don't need guidence, Surfguy, in time you will learn to trust your feelings, then you will be invincible. I have said it many times, you are the most gifted Jedi I have ever met. I see you becoming the greatest of the Jedi, even more powerful than master Yoda.

I was just perusing the reviews over at Rotten Tomatoes. Yikes....12 favorable versus 8 unfavorable. Constant theme in negative reviews: bad dialogue. As far as watching the bootleg, I just don't want to suffer through the poor quality. I don't think I would feel guilty, though, as I know I'm going to the theater to see it and buying the DVD. Lord knows Lucas has re-released the original SW trilogy quite a few times and has milked SW for tons of money....my cash included. But, I would rather not see it in a small window on my PC with no surround sound filmed from a video camera on a tripod at some private screening . As far as critics go, I swear alot of them just don't get SW. Too much scrutiny! Why not just enjoy it for what it is....sci-fi fodder. It's not non-fiction for crying out loud. So, it's not perfect...but it is more than good most of the time. Roger Ebert gave it a bad review...if you can believe that. Same guy who gave thumbs up to Speed 2. Umm...hello? SW...for me...has always been about how well done it all is and how it sucks you in to an alternate world. It's the ultimate popcorn flick. Lucas created it and delivers it well.

It's amazing how goofy the critics are about the Star Wars movies. Bad dialogue?? Did ANY Star Wars movie EVER have good dialogue?? of course not...they're all sappy and corny...but they're freaking great!!! No critic would ever stop me from seeing this movie.
