It's sad, but it is also inspiring. His father was a bad influence that could have led OJ to life as a drug dealer. He went another route.

Is it strange that what blows my mind the most about this story is that his father is only 39 years old?

So, instead of swallowing the rocks and going to jail for a month over some pot, he's gonna sit in prison for 10 years now.

Also, he better have just got back from picking up the weed...because you're a dumbass if you're cruising around with nearly a QP for any other reason.

And if he'd done the right thing and married OJ's mom, like a man, he'd be the legitimate father of a multi-millionaire today. Instead, he's another dishonorable scoundrel not being responsible for the results of choices he made. Shame.

I'm thinking attempted murder on a cop is gonna carry more than just 10 years.

10 years..? I think it's way more than that, more like 25 years.

I don't know all the circumstances, but I'd bet that attempted murder charge is trumped up right now. They usually overshoot on the initial charges, especially when there's officers involved - police file the charges, and you can bet those who did were pretty pissed after what had just happened to their buddy.

Anyway, once it gets to court, he'll probably plea bargain it down to assault with a deadly weapon, get something in the 15-20 range, and have the drug charges ran concurrent. With good behavior (read: no shanking fools in the chow hall), he'll be out in ten or so. But this isn't factoring in those other charges he had or any pending habitual enhancement.

Notice, though, that I only said he'll "sit in prison for 10 years", not "he'll be out of prison in ten years". I actually thought of that, and even had the number 25 typed out before I hit Submit Reply...but thought that might be a little high and decided on that phrasing to cover my bases.

Not when cops are involved. Won't happen, they wouldn't allow it.

You are acting like 16 year old's never have kids...

T-Will is 23 and has a 7 year old. His father was 20 when he was murdered...T-Will was 6 at the time.

It's a hard knock life for a lot of NBA players, sad as it may be.

That kind of stuff happens to poor people all the time. I would still rather be an NBA player than living on welfare.

Didn't OJ and Tony Allen get into a fight a few nights ago? Maybe Allen said something about it that offended OJ.
