According to two different league sources, the Cavs have inquired about Houston Rockets wing Kirk Snyder, who is out of coach Rick Adelman's rotation, and Portland Trail Blazers point guard Jarrett Jack. Nothing appears imminent.
LeBron But realistically speaking, the only contract that seems close in terms of just a player for player trade is Cedric Simmons. Wasn't he a lottery pick just a couple years back? Athletic big PF, I'd do that trade if offered haha.
For sure. Mike James might actually give that team a shot in the arm. It would also create a controversy about who is the better "James" on that team.....at least in Mike's mind. LOL
I think we could use another wing defender. Right now, all we have for that role is Battier. I'd like to have at least two solid defenders at that position. Maybe trade for Newble?
Don't kid yourself. Teams aren't stupid. They know who needs to get under the cap, and they know what Snyder is worth. The best we can hope for is to unload him.
If they're willing to give up Newble, I'd be all over him. He's a good defender, and while he's not a big volume scorer, he can penetrate a little and get to the line. Snyder and Head for Newble and Gibson works.
No. They only have a TE from a David Wesley trade that I must have forgotten about. It's less than $2MM.
Weslinder, you kind of just described Kirk Snyder when you were talking about Newble, in being a good defender, not a volume scorer and can penetrate.
