i'm going to be flat out honest. midwestern union working class reagan white male democrats are hard for obama to win.

i haven't read the article, but i think its funny the people of wisconsin gave obama two years went back republican and now have to throw their govenor out.

obama supports them and, republicans rail on unions and they still don't believe.

i can tell you from personal experience, i'm not surprised

Obama won a bunch of Midwestern Union working class white male democrats. That is why he won MN, WI, MI, IN, and OH and I suspect he will win a lot of them again this year. In 2010 a lot of them stayed home but as you note faced with Scott Walker and John Kasich's policies many of them will probably come out and vote for Obama again.

The depth of anger at Republicans right now in the upper Midwest among Union members is pretty deep.

i know why obama won the first time, i know why the democrats lost the house in 2010. ianyway, i worked with guys from ohio, they were jerks to everyone but most of them were sales guys and sometimes they would have to go through my department to get their deals done.

anyway, i think the midwest has its own issues dealing with race relations. especially blue collar.
