Wedding at 7:11 on 7/11 at 7-Eleven FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — A former manager and employee of a convenience store returned to the place they met for their wedding — the 7-Eleven at 7:11 a.m. on July 11. ``I figured if I got married at 7:11 on 7/11 in 7-Eleven, it'd be hard to forget my anniversary,'' groom Randy Kimball said. Kimball met his bride, Sharon Stehli, at the store when she applied for a job two years ago. ``We met here so we didn't consider getting married any other place,'' Stehli said. The brief ceremony was performed Thursday by Dee Blazina, a notary who is an assistant manager at another 7-Eleven store. The couple also hauled in a pile of sand for their altar — the concrete slab between the convenience store and the parking lot — to give their wedding a tropical theme. The groom wore dark sunglasses, a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. The bride donned a Hawaiian print sarong dress. Both wore shark tooth necklaces. After the ceremony, the newlyweds sipped coffee from a foam 7-Eleven cup.
I wonder if they also ate some of those ageless hotdogs that have been spinning on that warmer for the past few years.
We got married on 10/26 at 10:26 AM. Thought it would be easy to remember. Crud, now you know my pincodes. No you don't... you don't know the year.... but you can find it... if you get my card!
Apu: Now, these hot dogs have been here for three years. They are strictly ornamental. There is only one bozo who comes in and buys them. Homer: But I eat... Oh.
Was there by any chance a banjo player at that wedding? If I had gotten married in a 7-11 I think my family would have killed me!!!
I live two blocks from a 7-11 run by Indian Laker Fans. I love 7-11, Did anyone else remeber to get your free 7.11 ounce Slurpee on July 11th?
It has been a LONG time since I've seen a 7-11 in Houston. I've seen them in Fort Worth, but not H-town.
Stop-n-Go bought out most if not all of the 7-11s in Houston in the late 80's. After living in St. Louis and Chicago I remembered how much better 7-11's are over other convience stores. Pizza and 7-11's are about the only thing Chicago has over Houston in my book. B
