Heard this earlier. I think his fate is sealed. He won't be a Texan.

    It reminds me of

"I'm an elite QB" - Vince Young

"I will be the next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. And I will be in the Hall of Fame." - Vince Young

    Bingo

BOB and McNair are going to tell him to screw himself and have fun on the brows (if they even pick )

First time I have ever heard a draft pick used the media as a medium of forcing draft choice battle into public opinion.

    He screwed himself

Can't blame him, I'd be afraid of going to the Browns too.

    Bingo

Won't be surprised if Manziel slides to the second round at all now.

Peyton Manning said the same thing but behind closed doors

Why would he slide to the second round? If anything, the confidence he's displaying will improve his stock some.

There's a difference between confidence and hubris.

Its one thing to say this behind doors, its another to play Miley Cyrus and use the meda to force your agenda. It political, and its not like he is even the best qb in the class on top of it.

Yeah, I see it as part of his personality. Dude is a competitor, that fire....desire to win.

Plus, who doesn't think he'd love to be drafted by the Texans. Good core of Players, home state, and it's not the Browns.

What did he really say that was so bad? I'm not sure about his ability to succeed in the NFL, but I don't see a problem with anything he said if you look at the full context of it. He didn't say he WILL be the first rookie to win a SB - just that he wants to be. Would any of the other QB's disagree?

Tired of this cliche, Bridgewater and Bortles both have that but they don't run their mouths to the media

The media likely hasn't asked them nearly as many questions either because they aren't Heisman winners and didn't play for a big school that everyone watched this last year. No one here has any idea what questions Manziel was asked in the interview.

What if the questions were "Do you feel you might be drafted #1?" followed by "if the Texans draft you, what do you think you all can accomplish?" Would him saying he hopes to be the first rookie QB to win a Superbowl be that bad in that context?

said it before, if that's your guy and your set with him than you go ahead and draft him. I trust the scouts with the first round pick.

**it is the other rounds that we have to hit on.

The people hating on him....are just haters. Same old crap in every draft related thread.

Like you said, no idea what the questions were. Dude was a HEISMAN in his freshman year!

    People scared up in hurr.

This reminds me of all the Laker fans right before Howard signed here. So confident he wasn't leaving. Can't wait for the draft

I am not bothered by this statement, its the one where he was saying the texans would be making their worst mistake.
